Sorry....I've been a little bit sour about this whole deal. I moved my schedul around so I had time to screw with it, then find out I can't, and that pissed me off. I feel he has handled this very poorly, I've had this unit for almost a month now and can't do anything with it. He's lucky his ass is halfway around the world...

I totally understand, I hate it for the guys who didn't get what they needed the first time around, Liu Chaoren originally told me he would be sending units that will replace the Base or Premium units, I assumed that meant including the necessary cables too.

I'm still trying to accomplish 2 major tasks in the mean time.

1. Finding a company that will reverse-engineer the host and tell me where there might be another place to access it via USB to get into recovery.
2. Finding the ACTUAL manufacturer of the unit for a few things
a. Getting a pinout of all connections
b. Accessing recovery
c. Direct purchases and support, hopefully lower future buying prices.

I think we all would. The biggest obstacle is that I need someone who is fluent in spoken Chinese, and awake late at night, AND aware of the unit to contact the companies.

While that's not a horrible idea, considering I've been going to the same place for almost 20 years (they know it's me when I call in a to-go order) I don't know how to break into the conversation and ask them to be a liaison with a company in China, for a radio in a car they don't own.

It DOES matter where it terminates. Unless the car has a built-in USB hub that routes traffic to both ports, there's another spot that needs to be found to re-use the existing ports. You can't connect 2 devices at the same time on 1 cable, even if it is a Y-Cable.

The stock unit has to have a hub, if only 1 plug is going to the HU then there is a hub in the system somewhere, likely in the dash near the HU and it likely has the same cables as the stock unit plugged into it.

I'm thinking more along the lines of there being another cable end somewhere.
