I meant the high pitched sound stops for 1-2 sec, not the sound entirely. I have all that turned off already
Does it sound like engine electrical noise, (the pitch rises and falls with RPM's) or does the pitch stay constant?

so i have a question does this unit essentially give us base guys the toggles and do they work ? also are there any issues ie. not being able to use steering controls, blue tooth connectivity to iphone or back up camera? and is there another group buy going on ?

thanks
Not trying to sound like a jerk, but it's all covered in this thread, but for sake of pleasantries, I'll cover it again.

The toggles work, but it doesn't enable Sport+ mode like the Premium models.
So far, all known issues are covered in the very first post. SWC's work, except for the voice-control one, but we're working on it. Works with Bluetooth, iPhone or Android screen mirroring (Except Android 7.1.1) Backup camera works, and I believe StangATX is organizing a group buy, and last I heard, he was waiting on one more person to commit to order.

Constant pitch, like the old CRT TV's. Goes up and down with volume however. And not present on any other audio source but the radio, where it does it on every single station.

ugh, that sounds like your FM Module may have a bad ground or have other issues. An MCU Update *MAY* fix it, but I'm not sure.

Well, I just looked at the Wiki page, and it is structured rather nicely, I know I personally don't have time to make major updates/contributions on it, but I can definitely fine-tune some of the things like descriptions, steps on the installation instructions, and uploading screenshots/pictures. I've removed/reinstalled my unit so many times, I'm pretty sure I could walk someone through an install via text. (which I've actually done lol)
Thanks, that will definitely help (if it wasn't blatantly clear yet, I'm not very well versed on all things Mustang/cars :)). I'll PM you an account so you can make edits/uploads. Legionofone also has an account. If anyone else wants an account, just PM me and I'll send you the info!

PS. Thanks for putting the wiki in your signature, I'll do the same :)

610 news WYOD south floridas #1 news station lol

Side note:
Once i enabled loudness on the unit, my Kickers came to life! The sound is absolutely perfect. Definitely going to invest in some tweeters now.

Sometimes I miss Florida, and the endless stations they had. (I grew up in WPB) here in Eastern NC, there are only 10 stations, 4 of which are Country. :barf:

And I suppose good to know I'm not the only one with the issue. I can kind of ignore it so it's not exactly a show stopper, but would be nice to have it go away.

Maybe I just need a louder exhaust lol
That's another thing, I have a rather unique custom exhaust, but if there's a high pitched whine noise, I don't hear it.

Wait, did you guys check your Radio Settings to make sure it's set to "US" an not "Europe?"

Yes, one of the first things I did after install. The other setting as well, RDS I think, is on.

Okay, well I assume you guys both have your host mounted with the brackets, which would mean it's likely NOT radiated noise from other car components, and I doubt it's from the antenna, or more of us would likely have the issue, so I'm thinking it's some kind of cross-talk radiated noise from the system itself, which means either getting a new host, or installing a capacitor on the ground side of the FM chip. :/ Does turning RDS off help?
