Yeah, worst case scenario, we can use AirDroid and I can remote into his device and set it up for him.

Yes, you just go to System Settings, and change the vehicle to "Mustang Hi" and you'll have the premium HVAC controls.

To those of you who have already installed the unit, can you connect a Bluetooth OBDII Reader (Commonly called ELM327 on Ebay and Amazon) and see if the unit will connect to it? Mine will not, which means Torque does not work on the unit. I think it is because the ELM327 unit required you to enter a PIN to pair with it, and there is no way to enter a pairing PIN.

Was your phone BT connected to it while you were trying? Maybe the unit can only handle one BT connected device at a time?

Nope, tried it with my phone powered off. It SEES the device, but can't pair with it, I think it's because there's no way to enter the PIN for the OBDII device.

The more and more I see this the more and more I get excited to get one to my door. As fast as this is going ya'll should have all the bugs worked out and everything looking bad ass within another month. That leads me to ask a question... again.....

The update files that STANGATX (sorry dont know how to tag a person for a post) is hosting. Will that only work with this specific manufacturer? I am only wondering if they update or change something if we will be able to use the hosted file.

Also were the manufactures interested in ya'lls updated file to load onto their stuff to ship out?

The files he has hosted are for this hardware only, and essentially they all come from the same Manufacturer. The files likely won't work on any other unit, like the horizontal one, if that's what you're asking?

I am not offering our updates to the manufacturer in the deal, they were pretty adamant about not giving a crap about people being unhappy with them.

So one thing I've noticed is the volume is normal when I play the radio, but it's very low when I run spotify or YouTube directly from the apps on the unit from my mobile hotspot. It's a little louder when I run spotify or YouTube from my phone to the unit through bluetooth. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've noticed that too. I think it's because the Bluetooth Source (Your phone, when streaming) you can adjust the audio output. When the source is the unit itself, you can't. It's kinda like a pre-gain control when you're using BT streaming. I'm sure we can eventually tweak the audio, once we get the aesthetics taken care of.

If you guys would like to assist in annoying the piss out of someone until they give me the software for the I-5 unit, feel free to email:
[email protected] and be sure to cc: [email protected] as well. Just send a message that says, "Please provide Patrick Henninger with the software recovery image he requested." She'll either get annoyed and block everyone, or she'll give up the ghost. If she doesn't send it, I'll post an ad on Craigslist for free chickens with her info. people love free chickens for some reason.
