  1. Phx peeps - cat vs catless and emissions

I know this is bit of an older post but hope this helps for anyone in AZ. I JUST got my emmisions done yesterday on my 2016 mustang gt (in mesa). I have cat deletes and flex fuel tune. I swapped the cats back on, and loaded my catted flex fuel tune. Took about 200 miles to run through the drive...
  2. Shaun @ AED - Tuning

Yep, I'm one of the local AZ guys and couldn't be happier. Just had the mak cat deletes installed, Shaun did an update, runs flawless.
  3. Feedback from AZ flex fuel tune members

True, definitely still hot. If I have nothing else better to do, then maybe I'll go.

Definitely post a sound clip. Not sure about the temps for whp. I just looked at their website, looks like they have drag night sept 7th, hopefully by then. I still might go and check it out.

Yep, can't wait, been a long summer. Getting some cat deletes tomorrow, hopefully have them installed next week. Can't wait for that too! My exhaust system is already on the quiet side, so hopefully won't be terribly loud.

Yeah, it's OBDLink LX bluetooth. Forgot where exactly I got it from, it's about 4 years old.
  7. Feedback from AZ flex fuel tune members

Hmmm, I don't know about the kam reset. I would think no because the computer will just relearn the fuel but maybe something to ask shaun.

So I was finally able to do a few logs, really no positive knock whatsoever. One of the 3 the logs showed a small amount positive knock, +0.55 @ around 7k rpm but everything else was negative knock, adding alot of timing. It's running great. All on the same tank of e54 from 48th st and Broadway...
  9. Feedback from AZ flex fuel tune members

Didn't have a chance to grab my laptop and do a log last night, been too busy. I did remember that I had my torque pro app so I hooked up the odb2 blutooth scantool thing hoping torque pro would show knock but it doesn't (unless I'm missing something). I did however notice that the ethanol % was...
  10. Feedback from AZ flex fuel tune members

Yeah, definitely will do a log if I can later. I've always had a little in the higher rpms but we'll see. I'm hovering in the high 10s, low 11s as far as afr

Great, I just filled up there at 48th st and Broadway the other day lol. Maybe ill do a quick log later if it doesnt rain. I've only filled up there and the one at higley and pecos. I had knock in the higher rpms after the higley and pecos location. Shaun said it couldve been bad e85, and that...
  12. Chasing False Knock

I had a similar sound, but on the opposite side where the flex pipe is at (stock headers). I was getting alot of false knock at WOT between bad gas and a bad flex pipe. Did 100 octane fuel, eliminated most of it, then had an exhaust shop cut out the flex pipe and hard line it and i haven't had...
  13. High IAT's in Phoenix with Lund, PMAS - Check Engine Light (PO111)

I wonder if mine is running so high because of the newer designed pmas heat shield. Can't wait till it cools down either way.
  14. High IAT's in Phoenix with Lund, PMAS - Check Engine Light (PO111)

I'm in the phx area, very similar setup. I have a 2016 gt pp, pmas intake, aed tune. Mine is in the 160s sitting at a light but usually goes down to the 120s/130s while driving. I have that velossa tech ram air thing installed in my grill, not sure if it makes much of a difference in this hell...

I'm going to have to look into them, I want to get some headers installed. Looking forward to seeing your improvements with everything.

From my understanding, yeah, every time I change octane levels. Also, I think I'm safe to always run it as long as it's not in storage. I'm wondering if there will be minor differences since you have an 18 and I have a 16.
  17. Feedback from AZ flex fuel tune members

He said if you keep the same octane, then no need to do what I mentioned. If you change the octane, then you have to do the minutes of driving at those consistent rpms so it can relearn the fuel. Hopefully you don't have any false knock. That was the only hard part for me, tracking down the...
  18. Feedback from AZ flex fuel tune members

I had to run the 91 down as low as possible (i got down to 0 miles till empty), then i comoletely filled up with e85. I then had to drive around for 30 minutes, consistantly between 2500 and 5000 rpms until it learned the fuel, which was basically when the air/fuel ratio was consistantly in the...
  19. Feedback from AZ flex fuel tune members

Very nice, with all that combined, your car should be running really strong. Yeah, it would be better if there were more stations around the valley that had e85. That's what I like about the flex tune though, can change it up if we want to. Let me know how it goes!
  20. Feedback from AZ flex fuel tune members

I finally got the flex tune from Shaun at aed. It took a while because i had to find the source of false knock before he would even consider tuning it. Shaun had me put race fuel in and do some datalogs, and it pretty much eliminated the knock on the logs, so it was probably bad gas. I also...
