From the 2018 Ford Mustang brochure:
GT Performance Package Level II
2: GT Performance Package content,
plus MagneRide Damping System, unique track-inspired springs and sway
bar, 19" x 10.5" front and 19" x 11" rear Dark Tarnish Stainless-painted
aluminum wheels with 305/30R19 summer-only tires,
3 unique track inspired tuning, and unique front splitter and rear spoiler (manual only).

No mention of Recaros being part of the package.

The Recaros are optional, not part of the package. The PP2 package includes the standard cloth/leather seats. On the base PP2, cloth Recaros are a no-cost option. On the Premium PP2, leather Recaros are a $1,595 option.

I like the base seats, plus they have plenty of bolstering. To me power seats was more important. My wife is pushing me to go premium for the leather but it adds 401a to the build also which would put it at $4200 total.
Pretty sure 401A isn't required for PP2. Stick with 400A to get the comfy climate-controlled leather power seats.

I believe you are correct. The order sheet does not mention 401A being required.

EDIT: I found it on the order sheet, its in another section
"● Performance Package – Level 2 (673) is now available on 301A
and 401A"

Ford's build and price website doesn't require 401A for PP1, so I'd think that it'd be the same for PP2.

Although If I were to go Premium, I'd just go 401A for the digital cluster alone.

Test drove a base PP1 with the standard cloth seats and indeed they were pretty good. I got so used to the Recaros in my 15 GT though, I had to go for them again.

Build one on truecar and you cannot de-select 401a with a premium GTPP2. I'm not saying truecar is bible but they had to have got their info from somewhere.
That doesn't make sense though because 400A has everything that 301A has and more. So if 301A is enough for PP2 then 400A should be enough too.

I think its because you need at least 301A for the cloth Recaro option or 401A for the Leather Recaro options.

On a PP1, you can get the Leather Recaros with 400A. For the Premier Leather Trimmed Recaros you do need 401A.

Yeah I was just gonna say, you can get leather Recaros on a regular Premium 400A car...I see your updated post showing the order guide requiring it, but why it requires it makes 0 sense.

Ok, I am trying to build a pp2 on Costco auto. With the premium it will not allow me to put recaros on a 401 or 400, but on the non premium I can build it with the cloth recaros. Does that mean no recaros in leather will be available?

I guess I need to talk to the dealer, by the way are there any pictures around of what the cloth recaros look like?

I am guessing they look like the 15-17 seats. This is a 2015 base GT.

I’ll be curious to see what Ford does with PP2 in MY19. If the GT350 goes away to make space in the Mustang lineup for the GT500, then there might be some chance that the GT350’s transmission and differential coolers will become part of an expanded feature list for PP Level 2.
I came to post exactly this.

Some people dont understand why myself and others make posts about the 1LE track durability. The truth is we likely find the Mustang hella more attractive, and are just frustrated we cant get 1SS1LE pricing on a track comparable Mustang. :brokenheart:

Where in the Costco site can you 'build' one? (first timer here, lol)
