i sure hope so, unfortunately I'm one of those people that keep cars 2 or 3 years and I'm itching for a new one and this seems to offer all i could want

The Autoweek story on this says:

"But Ford claims that the package isn’t for track days. That job is for the Shelby-branded Mustangs. And, at the other end of the spectrum, it’s a little too hardcore for daily use. Instead, the new package is aimed directly at enthusiasts who enjoy storming down, or up, a winding road."

Make of that what you will. All I know is I track my '16 PP1 that is pretty much stock other than wheels/tires, certainly no additional cooling, and have yet to have a problem with it.
says it in the last paragraph of the article

no clue but the article says limiting to 1500 a year
Yes Ford is going to make the PP2 more exclusive than the Shelby GT350. Uh huh. Lol don't believe everything you read.

Seems every article is just a reprint of that one.

Autoweek reporting the same "about 1500", see last paragraph. Thought it might be a repeat article to the previously posted one, but they are somewhat different.

One interesting note I haven't seen elsewhere is this in the second to last paragraph:

"The PPL2 can obviously acquit itself well on the track and Ford will honor the warranty unless you really seriously abuse it on the circuit, but it’s really meant more for street use."

Leaves a lot of room for interpretation though.

Just get a 2018 GT, add your own springs, struts, wheels and tires. Bam! Your own custom PP2.
