You can tune in now and watch the NASCAR drivers practice on the track we just ran. Of wait until the weekend of course and watch the big show.
Was watching today, and was excited to say to my friends, "I was there, I drove that, I saw that, etc, etc".

As the Mrs and I are watching the NASCAR Cup Series at Charolette, I can’t help but remember the good time I had at Track Attack.
Actually waiting for the Italian Moto GP.

Barely recognized the track. It cleans up nice.
They put up those walls to block entrance and exits to the road course.
What impressed me was how empty the garage area was when we were there. Yet, when the race teams are there, they bring in all that equipment in less than a day.

Just got back from track attack this week and as others have already said, it's a truly amazing experience. All the Covid protocols are officially gone again too so we were allowed to interact with each other and the instructors without having to wear masks or spray each other with Lysol.

I went from zero track experience to flying around hitting 125 mph on the track all within 1 day. Can't beat that, and the video and picture packages they send you home with are seriously high quality as well.

It almost makes me want to find a way to pick up a mach 1 from granger ford just so I can get another opportunity to head up there.

So do you get an instructor beside you for each track outing? Mine was last year and it was all lead/follow.

Just noticed they scheduled a nite class for Sept 17-18. Damn missed it by a couple of days. That sure looks like fun.

Have they re-started doing the reception the night before?

The class in May, we had the reception at the Speedway Club restaurant, which overlooks the racetrack. And that evening they were running practice sessions for Nascar, so we watched them running practice laps around the track while dining. It definitely added to the whole experience.

How cool is that.
Isn’t that a VIP room?

It was a large room that could accommodate a LOT more people than those of us attending the TA (I attended in May). It was a 2-level dining room with a decent sized bar at one end.
