Gt350 track attack # 12

This is the start of my journey with GT350 TR #12. I am gonna walk you through the good and the bad. I think I was one of the first to pickup one their cars and was able to see them all together for one last time. This is 1 of 18 cars minus #6 as it was wrecked and not for sale.

The good:
. Confirmed Gen 2 motor,
. Replaced trans and clutch, shifts smooth in all gears
. All decals were left on the car
. 4 point roll bar and harnesses included
. Fresh gen2 front and rear rotors
. OE rears seat included
. Owners kit included
. OE floor mats included
. OE seat belts included
. I was able to get all of the service history from Ford.

Could be better but, it is a track car!
. Front tires don’t have much life left
. Paint is peppered as expected
. Drive seat lower foam is broken down, new foam will be here this weekend.
. Drive side seat pump up/down handle is broke. Fixed
. Steering wheel needs a good cleaning or replaced.

Overall I am super happy with the car, I wish it wasn’t 30 degrees and and salt on the road.

Yes, the GT350 Track Attack is over. It has been a year since the GT350 were sold from Ford. They still offer a similar program if you purchase a brand new Mach 1 or a GT500.

Considering the duty those cars did, your list of cons is very small and trivial. When I was there both times I was really impressed with how they took care of the cars. Congrats, really cool car, with a really cool history.

It's awesome that you left the decals on the car. Who goes fast with only a 4-point roll bar? Did you forget the helmet, HANS and the fire system?

I was able to call up the Ford dealership in Utah and was able to ask them for the service/ warranty history.

100% leaving the TR decals, harness and roll-bar. I have some track wheels with cup 2 on them that will be going on the car. I thought about switching to FP springs and sway bar kit.

I was explaining how I got the car, I was surprised they put fresh rotors and pads on the car before selling them. The 4 point harness should be fine for what I will be doing with the car, only HPDE events. I already have a nice “snell 2015” helmet and thought about buying a HANS device.

What's the ownership history like on a track only car like this? If any? Not sure how that works.
