Hello Everyone,

If I could turn back time, I would have waited a year or two to purchase my Mustang after it 1st came out. I can't believe all of the issues I had to deal with over the years. The latest issue is none of the inside OEM ambient lighting in the car are working (floor, cup holders, and doors). The only one working is the one on the dash where the gauges are. I unchecked and checked the ambient light option still the issue remains. Recently, I was having an issue with my rear right taillight not working so I changed the BCM module in the trunk which resolved that issue. I have a 2015 EcoBoost Premium. Any support/input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Would really appreciate if anyone has any input with the issue I am having with the Ambient lighting. Wonder if there is a fuse or a control module for this?

Thank you

Do you have a code reader? Check for DTC in BCMB module first.

Thank you for your reply. There are 2 DTC codes (B1446 and P04DB). I am aware of the P04DB which was resolved by Livernois MotorSports in the coding of the Tune.

The code B1446 is for the wiper park sensor. Nothing to explain why your lights are out. Check fuses F28 and F36. If that's not it then something could be wrong with Body Control Module 'B' which controls the ambient LEDs.

I read the B1446 could also have something to do with the O2 sensor, is that a possibility? I did change the BCM module in the truck behind the sub-woofer. I was having an issue with my taillight not working, it resolved the taillight issue. I wonder if the ambient lights are connected to the same BCM. I am going to check the fuses. Thank you:fistbump:

Where did the BCM come from? Another car or was it new? Either way, do you know if it was programmed to your cars as-built data? This module does in fact control the ambient lighting.

That makes sense. I purchased it from the following link and it did come from another vehicle.
https://www.ebay.com/usr/marsmodernmusclecars?ul_noapp=true

I tuned it back to stock after installing the BCM module hoping it would program the module.

I truly appreciate all of your assistance with this.

Thank you

No problem. Hope you get it working.
If you have Forscan, you can program the BCMB yourself. The module address is 7B7. Just get your as-built data configuration from Motomaster using your vin#. https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt
Good luck!

Hey, out of curiosity, how to you program a module from the motorcraft file? There's no module breakdown; all codes are listed consecutively. The only way to know which module they belong to are from the first 3 digits, like you alluded. But how exactly you upload that file on FORcan? I've done it from saved modules on my computer, but never from that full list. Just curious, in case I ever need to do it :). Thx.
