Just like the title suggests... Whats a better all around street radial?

Do you ever see any rain in the car? If you might, 555Rll’s without a doubt. NT05R will be a tad sticker on a prepped track, but a 555R/2 will perform almost just as good on road asphalt and get you home in the rain..

I barley drive in the rain, i also don’t use the drag strip. Strictly street rolls. Will it get the job done? And bonus since it’ll keep me alive in the rain? lol

Will you hook? That depends on a lot of factors. If you’re lowered and have a handling based suspension, you won’t hook very well below 40....

If you’re on stock or similar suspension, and air the DR’s down to 19psi cold, get them warm, just hold on tight.....

What PSI should I keep them for “daily” use?

No better drag radial for street use out there than the 555R. Sticky, handles well and not a death trap in the rain. Can get 10-12k miles out of them if your not doing regular burnouts.

NT05R is more of a drag strip tire.

I’m going Nitto 555 G2 in the front. 35 PSI on those?

Usually run whatever the factory psi on the door placard says. Typically 32-35psi.

This is what nitto says: “The sidewall construction has been modified to improve launch for better 60’ times*. *Compared to NT05R”

I get about twice the mileage from a nitto drag radial at 20/22 psi as opposed to 26 or higher. I never ever run then more then 22psi because the middle will wear out first making the tire useless.

I'd also suggest a drag style rear alignment with no more then -.6* rear camber, many people are running around -2.0* in the rear and dont understand why they have poor traction.

I haven't run the NT05R's, but they get pretty poor reviews. From what I've read from people that have actually run both, the R2 is a far superior tire. I'm personally running the 555R2's(305/30/20) on my mt82 Whipple car and they absolutely rock. My car makes around 850rwhp. 2nd gear will always hook up if its 60*+ out and on hot sunny days the damn thing will damn near hook first gear.
