Ugh the damn magazine racing on this site drives me nuts. I love how none of the magazine racers take into account da on that day could be drastically different. Nor do magazine drivers get the best possible times out of the cars. The owners do.

I've yet to see a quicker 1/4 mile or 0-60 from a '15 in any publication. That being said, I had never bothered looking until after I brought the '15 home and was disappointed with the lack of grunt in 2nd gear. It was a total impulse buy, I was drunk Friday night, decided I wanted one, and brought it home Saturday LOL. Wife said, "I didnt even know you were thinking about a new one?"

Do you frequent other forums? Because people are doing it. Hell someone on this forum ran 12.5 bone stock.

I made a post roughly 9 months ago about my driving impressions in a 15 gtpp. I had previously owned a 2012 5.0 base with brembo package and some bolt ons/tires.

I was disappointed in how heavy and slow the car felt compared to the 2012 I had. I could feel the weight in the corners and while at WOT rowing through the gears. The added heft and new suspension made it feel that way I'm sure. The 12 just felt faster/sharper. KEY WORD "FELT".

I was one of the fanatics that wanted to believe the rumor of 475 hp for the gt. I feel like that would have been perfect if they could have figured it out. That power rating would have trumped the Lt1 that is going into the camaro right off the bat. Not to mention 40 extra hp would have made the gt run 12.3-12.6 bone stock which is what the old boss did. I'm one of the few that took statements about the s550 being faster than the boss literally in every way.

I think a power update and true track pack for under $40k would make me take a second look at the gt.

I am set to order a yellow gt350 in Q1 2016, it has my full attention at the 49k entry level price. It seems like there could be a model in between. Think Mach 1 with 475 hp 5.0 and some better track goodies.

Yeah I was just like you. Thinking and hoping that the S550 would be 450hp minimum.
I am still in the process of saving up for a HUGE downpayment and mod money so I have the luxury of waiting and seeing. The GT350 is a real bargain. But I still love the idea of a PD blower on a GT. I like to turn my own wrenches on project cars.
While I wait, I can watch what Ford comes up with, and have others forge the mod road and wrinkle out any problems. It just sucks that for the first time in a long time I have no Stang and dont get to do 1/4 mile strip days.

I guess it will feel that much better when my wait comes to and end. LOL.

Try holding the Track Control flip switch for 8 seconds to put it in advanced TC Off. Also try tapping the TC flip switch twice real fast till you see RPM instead of LC.

I had the same question just a few weeks ago. I couldn't get but a chrip from a 3000 RPM dump. Turned advanced TC off and on RPM and now I have had it sideways several times on takeoff. Looked in my rear view and actually saw smoke.

Even so, with the comfort, features and amazingly fun to drive car and it still kicks a$$ I'd say it is a great combination.

My 2008 GSXR 600 felt "slow"/ boring on a wide open highway, on Chuckwalla raceway during track days it felt exceptionally fast. accelerating to 110+ then braking and dropping a knee into a 45 MPH corner definitely changes perception. If you were to go WOT balls out on the track, you would be pleasantly surprised and realize the car is better and faster then you are as a driver are.
