As the title suggest, i really don't mean to post another "noise" thread. There's lots of them and I've done a lot searching trying to figure out a noise with my 21 Mach 1.

I hear a "playing card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel" sound around the 1500-2500 rpm range. It doesn't sound like it's coming from the engine bay, rather directly to my right under the storage compartment.

I just got under the car to look for the driveshaft sticker and it's there but it's not loose and well stuck on.

Anything else i should look at? Any help is appreciated, and thank you.

Check this thread https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/driveshaft-ticking-in-mach-1.188192/

The "ticking" was not really related to the engine as the tick came from the driveshaft regardless whether the engine was even engaged, but if the engine was engaged and in the 4th gear, the corresponding engine RPM when the ticking manifested was 1600-2300 RPM.

Murick, thanks for sending me that link with what was going on with your car. That all sounds very familiar. Thankfully, my 21 is still covered under warranty and I'm going to get it checked out. Did Ford replace the driveshaft with the same part number? Maybe mine, like yours, was produced out of balance or something? Hard to know since they didn't tell you the cause.

I'll report back what they find.

To be honest, I believe the new driveshaft has a different color (the old one was black), but whether it is an indication of a different part or the previous one was just "treated" for anticorrosion, I have no idea.
Since @Esset seems to be facing the similar issue, it does not look like an isolated incident.

For me, the situation is probably a little different. The sound is independent of RPM, it can be heard even when the gear is off. But it's only audible in the 40-60 km/h range. As @murick suggested in the link to another post, it should be (I hope) a blown bearing in the driveshaft. Unfortunately I'm out of warranty now, so after winter I'll install either a carbon or aluminum shaft and hopefully the problem will be gone.
