No Key Needed For Restart

FYI if the car is running and the key is out of the car when you turn the car off, you get this message.

You get at least one restart with no key in the car. I did not know this.

Yes I understand that but this was the message after turning the car off with the key out of the car. You can restart the car without a key in the car. My wife got out of the car with my key. I then parked in the garage and then turned the car off. She was in the house with the key. Free one restart with no key.

With a simple change in forscan that won't happen, once in park and key not detected you will not be able to take it out of park.

No sarcasm forscan code. Turn car on in park, walk away and you can't take out of park, unless key flob is near by.

+1, great "mod". Should have been like this from the factory.

It's a security feature. If your keyfob battery dies and for some reason the reader in the cupholder doesn't pick up the signal, you can restart the car after you shut it off/stall it so you're not stuck in the middle of traffic or somewhere inopportune.
