Pulling this old thread up but I'm frequently having issues with mine not being able to connect to the gauges display. It just gives me the message to power on with the key.

Unplugging from the ODBII port seems to help.

And yes, the touch screen can be a pita, even after a calibration.

Even after I got a replacement my touch screen still sucks.. The calibration does not help either .

Looks like Ngauge needs to R&D a new design with updated firmware but, new laws I understand is demanding de-tuning these products as Bully Dog & SCT have been cited for epa voilations.

I had the same issue with the touch calibration so i did the most recent update and was able to fix that issue. But now when I do logs it will only get all the information the first time. If I try to do multiple logs on the same drive (without cycling the power to Ngauge) it doesn't read everything. Very frustrating. Lund had me pulling my car apart to find what was unplugged or which fuse was blown only to find nothing!

Towards the end of last season my screen would just shut off for no reason. I either had to re start the car or unplug the OBD cable. Gotta trouble shoot it in the spring.

My screen has been wonky as well. Day I was putting it away for the winter, got all the lines and wasn’t able to read. Unplugged from OBD port and was fine. Hasn’t been on for a few months now, so not sure what to expect. Yea, the touch screen could use a little enhancement with accuracy. Is there a new / recent update for it?

So did we come to the conclusion that the nGAUGE is just a piece of junk?

I'm having issues with mine too. I see that they have gone out of business.

I believe it was really a matter of E-motion not being large enough to fight off the EPA or bend over and pay the fines that the other device manufacturers were able to swallow.

Never had any problems with mine, but I dont leave it plugged in. I just load tunes and datalog when necessary then put in glove box. Been fine since 2018.

Now that they are discontinued, I definitely would not leave mine plugged in at all times.

I have never had a problem with mine either. Since 2019. Mine is plugged in in the car I just don’t turn it on very often. I turn it on mostly to make sure it fires up still. Otherwise it stays off. I park in a garage but if it is left in the car in the sun outside with that thing in it I’m sure that causes problems after baking for so long.
