i am getting tuned by PBD and just got sent my FF and E85 tune. here's their instructions

Test the E% at the pump
Make sure you have over %75 E
1. Drive until the 5 miles to empty
2. Load the tune E85 R2
3. Fill the tank
4. Drive the car for 10 min
5.Log idle at working Temp (warm idle) and send it.

i want to make sure that these are sound instructions. i am not doubting them. i'd just like to know if there's anything else i need to know...i was reading about the time it takes to learn and the maturing. something else i read on this forum is that if i watch the AFR gauge on the dash and it drops to around 10, then i should be good to go

i am a newb at this and need all of the help i can get.

PBD isn't going to give you the wrong instructions, you bought an e85 only tune so it doesn't need to learn.

if i watch the AFR gauge on the dash
Remove that thought from your brain. LOG it, send it, wait for the 'good to go'.

I have an E85 and 93 octane tune from them and my car runs great. Never had an issue. Have had three revisions because I've added more boost (at their request) and they have knocked out the revisions super fast. It's what they do. You are good

Yes, watching the AFR is for flex fuel tuning.

this weekend i will be switching tunes, but i experienced something kinda odd tonight on the way home...i was pressing on the go pedal with some vigor, when it seemed to momentarily have no response, like it was hanging for a second or two. this happened last weekend's final 91 octane data logs, the one i aborted because i was still in D and not sport and i thought it was a fluke.

if i were to hook up my laptop and run the SCT data logging, what PID's would i need to log to catch this issue?

on a side note, this tune does not like sport or sport + mode..a lot of bucking and surging until i hit the gas
