So I have my E85 tune (non flex) from PBD and using an Nguage. I thought it was possible to read ethanol content in one of the PIDs but I don't see an option.

Is this something unique only to Lund?
I think it’s only possible with a flex tune

Get a $25 obd2 reader off amazon and download the torque app for I think $3. That's how I read ethanol and its pretty accurate.

Flex tune measures ethanol content and adds timing accordingly. Straight E tune kicks in timing early and assumes you have 85%. The computer isn't monitoring ethanol content if your on the e85 tune. Best bet is to get a tester and check your fuel periodically.

Yeah that was one of the things I noticed with my Lund e85 only tune.

I have this app, but as far as I know we dont have flex fuel sensors, so how are you getting a reading on that? Or what sensor do you use?

Our cars do not have flex fuel sensors

Most OEMs do not use FF sensors anymore as they are terribly unreliable and not very cost effective. Most now use an inference strategy utilizing the O2 sensors, the fuel trim algorithms, and set "desired" AFR algorithms to determine the alcohol percentage. I can only assume that most tuners also use this same method to make FF tunes, as the S550 has wide-band and narrow-band O2 sensors as well as stoichiometric algorithms to set requested stoichiometric value and variance. I want to say I even remember seeing a toggle to turn on FF in HP tuners, but I can't remeber 100% on that. The S550 is inferring the alcohol percentage to a degree, even in stock for, to adjust to different gasoline blends so that must be the PID that the Torque App is using to show Ethanol content.

There's a video by Alex Flores of Lund Racing that says they turn that off on the E85r tunes.
