860. This is about the limit for the stock shortblock. You can achieve this with ANY of the FI setups mentioned. All depends on what you are looking for.

My preference would be the Whipple stage 1 supercharger system. We actually have an S720 installation package available that includes the Stage 1 Whipple 3.0L Twin-Screw Supercharger System, upgraded spark plugs, upgraded fuel injectors, and chassis dyno testing as well. Our Whipple Supercharger Performance Package for the 2018-2019 Mustang GT 5.0L offers incredible power throughout the RPM range. This package takes an already impressive vehicle and transforms the already potent Gen III Coyote 5.0L into an absolute tire shredding beast. This package provides dyno proven gains in upwards of 205 HP and is also currently on sale priced at $7,999 which includes all the necessary parts, labor to install, dyno session, and a 1 year warranty as well. This is a savings of $1,180 with the current sale. Then from there you'd always have room to go further such as billet gears and / or stepping up to the S820 package with the billet throttle body as well.

Here's a link to this package on our website for more info including dyno results. Feel free to give us a call , PM , or email and we would be happy to help.

Turbo. Here’s why:
Soft on the low rev range. Ie easy on engine at low rpm
Uses little to no power to drive. So more fuel efficient.
No belt to break or cranksnouts to snap
No cutting
Doesn’t heat soak as easily as a whippel etc

Not taking into account $ or effort to install, it makes sense. FWIW, most OEM vehicles run turbos.
How many car cars out there on Oem Centris or roots etc ?not many. Why ?

I like the power delivery of a supercharger , centric or otherwise. So not saying only turbo. I just feel a daily is safer (if well tuned) and more efficient on a TT setup.

Hey guys, I just came into a 2018 GT 10R80 and am looking for boost options. My car is a daily driver logging about 20 miles each way back and forth to work. I'm looking for power, but also drivability. Open to supercharger and turbochargers as I am coming from a FBO S197 and don't have much experience with either.

I've done some preliminary research but most of the marketing jargon out there is just that, marketing. Everyone's got the best, coolest, most "stock-like" kit out there. I'd like some feedback on a few that I've narrowed down. Keep in mind, I'm looking to spend about $8000 outside of the installation.

Here's my shortlist: (completely open to other options)
  1. VMP Loki
  2. Roush Phase 1
  3. Edlebrock E-Force Stage 1
  4. Whipple Stage 1
  5. On3 Turbo Kit
Discuss!
We sell plenty of Whipple and VMP units here @LethalPerformance! They are the most popular for a reason! Great power gains. Easy installation and great quality! Many options to pick from too! https://www.lethalperformance.com/s...018-2019-ford-mustang-gt-coyote/superchargers

Considering your goals right now are on the conservative side, but some of these have more room to grow than others.
My short list would not include turbo only because off added complexity, but they are bad to the bone.

Ranked in order.

1. Whipple Gen 5 stage 2 (don't skip the 132mm TB)
2. VMP ODIN
3. E-Force
4. Kenne Bell
5. Roush..ugliest design front feed ever.

If you want a reliable daily driver, go with a whipple kit. The tune that it comes with is very good. I would consider roush phase 1 since you keep warranty but the heat exchanger that the kit comes with is not great. I would not consider edelbrock if i were you unless going with a custom tune. Stay away from turbos if you are daily driving the car.

If you do go whipple, DO NOT get the stage 1 kit. Spend the extra like $800 and get the stage 2 kit. Trust me, and everyone else who has had the stage 1 kit or has the stage 2. The throttle body, the spark plugs, and the larger injectors all make it EASILY worth it. The stage 1 is not worth it. So many people (im not saying all) who got the stage 1 eventually wanted more power and it costs more down the line to upgrade to the stage 2 kit then just getting it off the bat. In addition, the stage 2 kit i believe for 18+ cars keeps the powertrain warranty.

Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah it's a really great price right now, that is for sure. We have always done a great deal of Whipple installs and worked with them on new projects, but with these installation sales the labor is basically free so we've been selling a ton of them on the S550s especially. Keep in mind we do also vehicle transportation services with enclosed trailers door to door. Or some customers even like to drive the car back home afterwards. Always fun to take a spirited road trip to get a feel for the couple hundred new horses under the hood! :sunglasses:

there really isn't a bad choice on a power adder for a coyote , comes down to budget, goals, driving style, how important warranty is for you.

Feel free to give me a ring and we can go over some options

If still under warranty id say roush all day. Can still take the car to the dealer for warranty work and ive had a roush dealer not too far from me for anything else ive needed. I dont think any of the others will have that option of still going to the dealer and have them work on it like the roush , from catalytic converters or any other repair.

The Roush Phase 2 is a warranted kit, married to Ford and is making 630-650RW on the dyno with the BEST canned tune drivability.

Beefcake will give u killer price on the kit, ask me how I know :like:

I would also suggest Limitless Performance Twin turbo kit. They have a special going on right now.
$6800.00, includes the upgraded larger intercooler. Also the kit always comes with your choice of turbo size from 60-67mm at no up charge.
Turbos come standard with ball bearing, billet wheels and stainless turbine housings.

Turbos are way better if you're planning on daily driving the car. Better fuel mileage, easier on the motor down low, heat soak isn't a problem whatsoever.
On any of the FI you get you're going to have to get the same supporting mods. The only difference is that the turbo kit will support 700whp all the way to 1500+whp.

Feel free to message me and I'll get you hooked up with the owner of LPF!

We think there is one option missing from this list...

1. Hellion Turbo

One thing we can guarantee, if you go Hellion, everyone else will be reading your license plate and not the other way around  , hahahahahha.

We have some great affordable options, please let us know if you have any questions!
