I daily drive my mustang and even with everything on it and modded on highway and occassionally city I get better gas mileage than that.. I can eek out nearly 16+ on track days, 17-18.9mpg in city driving only (21 one time when I was being super conservativeā¦lead foot I have) and if its highway I can get somewhere between 31-34 if I am careful. This is on 19x11s.
Once I hit 40.4mpg on a trip down south when I was still on stock 17s.
Mind you this is a V6.

That's pretty ironic for a Honda Civic, isn't it?
I've lived with that irony in a 2008 Evo X. It's rather pudgy for a compact 4-door (3589 lbs) has the friction of multiple gearboxes, and every gear but 1st is short as ****
People who don't know what it is assume it gets about 30mpg, and it's more like 21mpg in regular driving. I can squeeze out 25 on the highway.
Then it's 14mpg or less on a track day.
