I just put continental extreme contact sports on the 2017 gt performance pack. I went with 295/35/19 rears and 275/40/19 fronts in hopes to keep the wheel gaps as even as possible. Car is sitting on a 1” drop all the way around. I cannot decide if I should keep this setup or put a 275/35 in the front. I’m a little OCD and not sure if I’m crazy or if it visually looks like the fronts are bigger (they are .6” taller overall than the rears).

would you notice if i didn’t say something? Do they need to be shorter in the front?

You won’t hurt my feelings, I want honest opinions. Thanks!

I wouldn't have noticed....but now that you pointed it out.....

I am a little OCD myself and it would probably bother me even if no one else noticed. Having said that, it is not horrible. You do have a beautiful car.

yeah i dont think i would have noticed if you wouldnt have pointed it out, however looking at the pictures closely, after you pointed it out, now i can see that the space between the rim and the bottom of "continental" is a bit more on the fronts than the rears.

I pretty much had myself convinced to go get the 35s and you all just helped. Good thing I had them order both sizes! Thanks everybody. Except for @Rock&Roll. Just kidding lol

@Goterr0r that looks awesome, how do you like them so far? Do they hook up ok? I was torn between these and the nitto nt05, but decided I’d rather not replace tires every 4 months.

So far so good with them. They were replacing some 255/50/18 Nitto G2's on the stock rims. So its really been night and day difference with them on the new rims.

Swapped them out today and very happy with the new look. This is 295/35/19 rear 275/35/19 front on a 1” drop all around in case anybody else is looking at doing something similar.

Well after the damage has been done, I think you did the right thing.
Before you made the swap, the 275/40/19 was only noticed in the second picture, but these things are hard to tell in pictures.
After the swap, it actually looks more balanced.
I'm a little OCD too, so it would have bothered me too.
Good looking Mustang.

Isn't 295/35 to big for the stock PP wheels in the back your tires must be bulging. As I understand it from performance perspective with stock PP wheels 275/35Front with 285/35 Rears is the best possible option without to much tire bulge
