I personally listened to almost every exhaust available and the Magnaflow Competition was by far the deepest tone, if thats what you are looking for.

2c5s, if you don't like it, don't buy it. Pretty basic stuff.

My list goes... ARH (which I ordered), MRT, and corsa. MBRP was on my list due to price...from the only clip I've heard, they sound similar to arh and mrt...if there were more clips and reviews I probably would have chose them based on price.

However for aggressiveness...my first 3 choices are it. Corsa is the only xpipe exhaust I would even consider.

It really depends on how you define "aggressive". Do you want loud? Do you want deep? Do you want it to sound like a race car or a muscle car?

I went with ARH's H-pipe catback because I wanted something with that deep, H-pipe growl. Generally speaking I was only considering H-pipe systems and the Roush + Lethal's H-pipe resonator delete combo. Magnaflow's Comp Series and Corsa were the only two x-pipe systems I considered. But I wasn't sure whether Magnaflow had any rasp, and I'd have to hear Corsa in person to determine whether it had enough bass to it (if that makes any sense). Corsa sounded awesome, but I was worried it might be too flat for my taste.

I'm picking up the Magnaflow Competition series catback tomorrow and will install it Sunday. I previously had the SW H-Pipe catback on my car and I posted videos of it on here. It sounded great. So, I am in the fairly uncommon position of installing a completely different catback on my car. I will videotape it, exactly as I did before with the car in the garage, same position, same distance away with the camera, etc. I will then repost the first video of the SW along with the new video of the Magnaflow Comp. Should give a good representation of the two compared to each other. My phone seems to take decent video and on my computer at least with average speakers/sub the sound was VERY representative of how the car sounded with the SW system. Only difference in the car between the two videos will be it now has the JLT cold air with a custom tune.
Tom, what happened to going with a full JBA setup? (sorry if I'm not remembering correctly).

Tom, what happened to going with a full JBA setup? (sorry if I'm not remembering correctly).[/QUOTE]

Well, couple things really. I talked with JBA and as of a week or so ago, they are still 60-90 days out from having the x/h pipes and catback sections made. The headers are carryover of the '14. I was still very seriously considering the ARH setup, but was just hesitant at the price point. Ultimately, I just decided to go with a catback for the sound and think I will end modifications looking for more power on this car for now. I'm very happy with how it drives! A friend of mine is a dealer who can get Magnaflow and I got a great deal. PM me if anyone is interested and I can put you in touch with him, but the Magnaflow Competition catback is about $300 less than the typical advertised price, plus shipping which usually comes in around $50-$60 or so.

Back to the other reasons I'm not doing a full exhaust. Hard to justify $1500 or more for a 30 horsepower gain. Every bit helps of course and it also lays a solid framework for more serious horsepower (blower, turbo, etc.), but I'm not chasing that right now.

The main reason? That money that I did have earmarked for a full exhaust is now going to my real dream car sitting in my garage, the 1967 Mustang Fastback. This car needs massive amounts of work including lots of sheetmetal and fiberglass for it's transformation into a GT500 clone. So, did I want 30 more horsepower in an already ridiculously great driving car or would I rather be able to have the parts to get the body of the fastback built this year?

So, catback only for now. I went with the Magnaflow Competition for the cost, the sound, the feedback from other users who do have it. I'm really beginning to think that all these systems are going to drone in the 1800-2000 range under load in 6th, unless the stock suitcase is left in place. I had the SW, loved the sound, but honestly, the drone on the h-pipe catback after a few weeks got really intense. Plus, after my ordeal with them and their utter lack of ANY type of response or customer service from them, I will NEVER put one of their products on my car, nor will I ever recommend anyone else to do so either.

The direct communication I had with ARH owner Nick, and also Steve was very refreshing. Their willingness to work with me was really unexpected. I also suspect the market for these parts are very inflated right now, which is why the JBA really caught my attention. A complete system for around $1700. I expect in the future, prices will come down some to a more reasonable level. Maybe I'll have blower fever then and really have the need to justify a better set of headers!:)

That's awesome man. I definitely think you're making the right choice, the 67 will be well worth the investment. And I don't blame you at all regarding SW. They're not getting my business either. If/when I give into temptation and get headers, I'll be going with ARH. Aside from the product being top notch, Nick and Steve are good people. Check out my ARH H-pipe thread for my experience with them, if you haven't already.

Looking forward to your MF video and hearing your thoughts as to how it compares to the SW H-pipe.

Gonna install the MF in the morning and get a video. Will absolutely post it along with the SW for comparison.
