Just some more random photo whoring. Nothing new to report right now. To much indecision on the next steps. I keep talking myself into new parts then I quickly talk myself out of them and into something else. :frusty: [/quote]

With the clean lines of your car, I would say the only logical exterior mod would be a slick hood. I wouldn't mess with any scoops or stripes or anything like that the silver speaks for itself!

Thanks. Not sure if a hood is in the future or not. Time will tell. Exterior is almost done. Another piece of the puzzle is in route and should be here for an install next week.
More details to come.

Another super exciting fluid change this week.

This time I switched out the stock transmission fluid in favor of the Royal Purple Synchromax. This should be the final piece of the shifter equation (until I need a new clutch and find a shift ball I like). To recap, I've installed the Tri-Ax race shifter, the Transmission bushing, and the Clutch Spring. These parts have transformed the shifting experience, and I can't recommend them enough.

All you need is 3qts of fluids, a drain pan, an 8mm allen wrench/socket, a ratchet, and a fluid pump. Here's some photos of the install.

The two black allen plugs are the drain and fill plugs. There's also a handy stamping next to each.

After you drain the old fluid you can fill with the pump through the top drain plug.

Here's a shot of the pump I used.

I washed my car before it got to hot today. Forget doing anything now. It's just stupid hot.

I think Todd is running some Goodyear's, I know those come in those sizes. You definitely don't want to DD on the Hankooks I have. I know when I was looking there wasn't a ton of options in the 305 and 285 sizes together. I wonder which BFG's he's talking about.
The new Michelin pilot super sports that are one the GT350 and a lot of other hi-perf cars today including C7 Z51 vette, are the stickiest, longest lasting tire around. It's ashame ford keeps putting the crappy Pzero summers on the GT performance pack/former track pack. If you want ultimate stick, the The Hankooks RS-3 or the pilot sport cup 2's. Just don't drive them in the rain.

Now you need the louvered heat extractor vents from Roush. In blk of course. And blk mirrors. I had a Ingot 13' (680 hp custom twin turbo), auto (because the autos hook up much better off the line and are faster at the track. I don't autoX anymore. So I swapped my Ingot mirror caps, (they pop off, same as on the new S550), hood vents, rear spoilers for his black parts, he took my ingots, then took off my 5.0 badges & wheels and did the old plasti-dip. But this was back in March of 13' I've not been on here for over 5-6 yrs. Beautiful, gorgeous car. I've got major tent in pants just looking at the pics, lol, and that doesn't happen much. It is automotive porn, lol.

I'm ordering a gray RS foc and a 17' Ingot or Lghtning Blue or possibly even the Pearl White Platinum. A relative at FMC in Dearborn told me their new Ford Racing tune using the ProCal tuner, for the new 5.0 is almost here. Promises 460-470 hp and similar tq. I also got a set of 19" GT350 wheels in the 10 K&N 11" widths. I want to keep the car light. Plus, a slight hood redesign of the hood at the nose in the center of both sides. It (the hood), sticks out almost 3/4", but is flush at the outside corners of the headlights. That inside (tear duct if you will), part of the hood catches air and billows the hood up 1" like a sail. At 80+ mph and is disconcerting. So there is some aero-work FMC needs to do. Or, just buy the Roush hood/front bumper, which fixes this. Also of note, is the fact that this leading edge over the headlights on the 2013-14' mustangs, is curved down like a leading edge flap on an Jet planes wing. In this case it redirects air flow up over the hood. I might have it remold end and curved down ward. At any rate, sorr about the book. Keep up the nice work. If plan on power upgrades, do your rear axles. It's the only real weak link left. This new S550 engine is mostly a "Roadrunner" engine (aka, BOSS motor), than the prior "Coyote" motor. It's much stronger and max rated to 996 crank hp, vs the old Coyote max safe rating of 650. crank hp. And a new Mach 1 or Bullit was testing out past Luke AFB yesterday. Had a few GT350 bits and cammo. Def NA under the hood. There was a GT500 testing too. Def turbo power. Likely an Ecoboost 5.0. Enjoy.

Now if we could just get some more life into the lifeless DRL LED's. They are so dim, dull. Only look good from a 30-45* deg angle to the side of the front of the car. Mustangs have the most dim/dull DRL's of all the newer cars with LED DRL's, on the road.

Diode dynamics just has silly color upgrades, without some sort of increased brightness. I hope someone addresses this.

The roush heat extractors are on the list. I just hate buying things twice. I want to figure out if I'm going to pick up a hood or not first.

Not sure if the DD Drl lights are brighter or not. They at least seem a little brighter. They have two rows of LEDs instead of the single stock row.

Did the change in fluid make a difference?
Maybe slightly smoother. Not enough to totally recommend this upgrade if you don't need it. I'd say wait until the normal fluid change timing and do it then. It was a super easy swap, aside from making a slight mess in refilling the system. From reading pervious generation reviews colder weather guys might see a bigger difference.
With the Steeda Shifter and the Trans bushing things were already pretty dialed so I wasn't expecting a ton. I think a nice weighted shift knob will totally complete the package.
