Maybe slightly smoother. Not enough to totally recommend this upgrade if you don't need it. I'd say wait until the normal fluid change timing and do it then. It was a super easy swap, aside from making a slight mess in refilling the system. From reading pervious generation reviews colder weather guys might see a bigger difference.
From all the feedback I've read on this site about aftermarket transmission lubes, it seems the BG brand has the best results.

Thanks for the link. Next time I'll try this. The royal purple stuff isn't bad. It just didn't make a huge difference. Maybe in a completely stock situation it would have a more noticeable difference. I will still give BC a shot next time though.

Nathan - you won't be disappointed in the BG products. I have had 5-7 people in the ATLS550 club switch from RP or Redline and could not believe the difference.

New install this weekend. Due to timing I ended up doing this at 10pm last night. To my neighbors, #sorrynotsorry :D

I'm going with he Gt350 rear fascia, and that means I need to change out to a quad exhaust. I ended up ordering the entire sport catback kit from LevittownFordSuperCenter. They have the best prices around on OEM Ford parts. This will replace my current Borla S-Type system. This Ford Performance kit is supposed to be very similar, which is great because I love the sound of the Borla.

The system looks very similar over all. The pipes are identical.

The exhaust has different Ford performance stamping and the dual tips, otherwise it is the same dimensions and weight.

The main different for better or worse is the x pipe. The Ford performance version has a different construction and is about a pound heavier.

The inside shows the Ford Performance one has a slightly bigger crossover and a smoother transition.

Here's how it sits. I need to pull off the rear bumper and switch out the lower valence before I can move forward.

Finshed up round 2 of this install late last night. Again to my Neighbors #sorrynotsorry.

You literally have to disassemble to entire back of the car. Kind of scary looking but not bad. Honestly pulling on those tabs kind of scares you though. Your pulling and pulling and then they just let go. I was thinking to myself the whole time omg what just broke. Nothing did, it's how it sounds and feels. :eyebulge:

A this might be a scary part for some. You have to cut the colored flag off. The dremel with a cutting wheel made quick work of it.

After that everything just kind of clicks back in place.

Back on the ground and looking so awesome!! :headbang:

And cleaning this dirty pig up.

There's a bunch of steps that I didn't cover in this. Honestly, if you're going to install this part. You should watch the CJ Pony Parts video. He does a great job at covering all the steps. I love the look this gives the car. It's so much more aggressive looking now.

Dayyyyum, that looks off-the-charts good.

Just a few more body panels and a hood and there'll be nothing original left on the exterior!

I know right. I need to do what Marcus did and pick up those anderson fenders. Complete my "fobra" look.

I did the same exhaust swap. Borla Sport to Quad FRPP Sport. I only ordered the axleback though and didn't bother to replace the xpipe.

Also it's worth noting, it's not absolutely essential to remove the bumper. I did my swap with the bumper still on the car. I don't think it's necessarily harder or easier one way or another, but it can be done.

Now that you have the 350 valance, I recommend picking up the 350 mud flaps. Completes the look and adds a little protection to your rear quarter.

Also what's your opinion on the exhaust tone? With headers and after the new exhaust was broken in, I noticed the frpp sport is a little bit quieter in cruising situations and idle, but actually louder under acceleration. I'm curious if that's my imagination or if you've noticed the same.

I like those. I'll have to add them to the list. I do like the tone, it's very similar to the old exhaust. It does seem a little quieter now, but you're right, when you open it up if get as load as the borla. I was actually going to order just the axel back but someone wanted to buy my borla as a kit so it made sense to order and switch out everything. I like the build of the Ford X pipe a little more. Seem a little better built.
