I let my kids name the cars. It's fun for them. When I put the exhaust on my 6yo little girl said "I got it! Waaaaaaaannnnda" so the Mustang is "Wanda" but long and drawn out.

My friend always called his Cobra R "Big Red" so he always called my 2004 Competition Orange Cobra "Big Orange". I recently got a S550 in Competition Orange and I have referred to "her" as "Big Orange Jr" jokingly which in itself is retarded to be JR and a Her at the same time. But no....I really don't have a name. More commonly know Money Pitt, Side Bitch or the Mistress if anything. lol

I've named all the cars I've owned that I care about. I do it because I like to. I require neither permission, approval or recognition for it.

My last car was a red Saturn SC2. I owned it for years before I realized that its name was Red Saturn (which is pretty obvious, but would also make a good name for a pirate ship, yarrr). It didn't take long at all to name my Mustang Blue Moon. The blue part is obvious, and I like the song Blue Moon, especially the version by The Marcels.

My friends named my car THUMPER. Mainly cause I 'thumped' 2 vipers at the same time. Good times lol.

The only thing I have owned that I have named has been boats up until this car. This is the first car I've given a name. I'm doing so to pay homage to my dog Loki who died 5 years ago. She was female and yes I know Loki is male but don't care. He is the God of mischief and that dog had mischief down so she can be named Loki. The car in drag mode with trac control off reminds me of that dog fast and out of control if you don't pay attention.

So, for the first time I named a car, could care less if it's silly, heck my explanation is silly but again, don't care. :p

I've never named cars, to me its more of a machine than a living thing. I do call mine "the rocket" though, and several people at work call me rocket man lol.

Our cars must be confused little s**ts....first they are named mustangs. Some then give them a nickname....others will call them 5.0, coyote, or pony. They have a big v8 and sound like a growling male lion but we give them girl names. They are named after a horse...but there is also a plane.

I don't name my car or anything in the house. But I'm thinking about naming my dog.

If the dog is with you all the time, you should name it "shotgun".

Anyway.... I named my car "trouble", "fun", and "toy"... depending on what I'm doing.
