Just curious if other cars have been delivered without the tire pressure/vehicle build data stickers placed on the driver's side door jamb? My Mach 1 HP was delivered with no such stickers while my son's GT, built a few weeks before the Mach 1, has the usual compliment of vehicle data stickers.

I’d say they either forgot to attach it or there was damage repaired and the label wasn’t replaced. Don’t think I’ve seen a new car without that door label. Although our 2003 Monte Carlo actually has it on the trunk lid.

That's odd for sure. You took delivery as the original owner? The only time I've seen that was after bodywork and the shop failed to replace them. On a disturbing note, if a vehicle is damaged at the factory, in transit or at a dealership before it is sold the company can legally repair it without disclosing that information.

Yeah, I think your car may have a history. Here are a couple of pictures I stole off the internet of a '23 M1 for sale. You can clearly see the stickers.

One more thing. The dealer can order them for you. They're kinda pricey though.

I found out Ford had no intensions of processing my order or building the car because the HP option required off-line operations with the GT500's (long story) but the Flatrock Plant Manager intervened and got a VIN released. Three weeks later, the car was delivered to my dealer - No repairs were made at the plant or by the dealer. (I feel fortunate, two weeks later, the Flatrock Plant Manager was transferred to the Lightning Truck program and I was laid off from Ford with 3000 other ICE staff.)

IMO, they're required by law (tire pressure amounts, model year safety certification, VIN identification, etc.) to be attached to the car when sold new. As the car was sold new that way, will the dealer order and install for free?

That is 100% correct @Skye. I worked for a vehicle manufacturer, and certain labels are required by law, those being part of the requirements. Initially I thought the same as @ORRadtech stated, it may have been repaired at the factory, and replacement labels not replaced after repair (which as stated is not a required disclosure). But then, the OP's explanation adds some crazy twist explanations, which frankly are believable, having worked to help reign in culture with tendencies like that for over 25 years. I did some checking and for the age of the OP's car, I'd think replacement may be under warranty still. My dealership would probably not give a hassle on that, but who knows???

So the car does have a history, just not what we were thinking. I still don't understand how the car got out without those stickers but I guess I don't need to. Nor would knowing probably help you very much getting them replaced.
I'm not sure how you would go about getting them "replaced" under warranty but perhaps you still have connections that could help. I do know that while a dealer can order them by your VIN there are hoops that need to be jumped through proving need, ownership, etc. There are other services that can provide replacement labels but they often only work with bodyshops, etc and most of them work from photos of the original labels.
I will say this, not having them would endlessly tickle my OCD...

I'd be OCD'ed as well. Try explaining why they are missing if and when you decide to sell or trade it in, I know that would be loaded into my Low Ball cannon.

I wrecked my previous Mustang at the track and it needed a new quarter panel. The body shop asked if I wanted the stickers they ordered installed and I said No.

So I saved them and put them on right before I traded the car for my current Mustang.

Unrelated and unhelpful to the OP post, I know, but I'm saying I wouldn't mind if they were missing. Still, I would ask for replacements from the dealer so as not to make someone suspect an accident if I later sold the car.

If it were me, I would request (more so demand) that either Ford or the Dealership send out the correct decals that belong on the B-pillar.

The one label is the VCL (Vehicle Certification Label) which contains the build MO/YR, weight of vehicle, some of the As Built codes and most importantly the VIN. This label should really never be missing from a vehicle.

The tire decal and the other minor label is not as important, but should be on the B-pillar.

To the OP:
Do you have what you posted above as to the “why” the VCL is missing in printed AND certified format? If you don’t, then I would highly suggest you get it in writing, signed by the sender, and notarized.

The reason being is this:
It’s your “word” right now with no documentation as to why the VCL (and other labels) are missing. Yes you noted it above and maybe you have it in another format - but without it being signed or notarized by Ford or other significant party who knows the reason - it’s just words that have no backing.

If you were to sell the car at a later date, that missing VCL could create issues with a future trade in to a Dealer or private party sale. Without some sort of documentation stating why the VCL is missing - it’s going to be a hard sell.

Definitely try to get the VCL if anything …

i'd make em send me the stickers but I wouldn't stick em on because stickers are dumb.
throw em in the little booklet case thingy and if you sell the car you can stick em on then.
