My babies got beat up last night

Freak, unexpected hail storm moved through my area last night. My GTI and wife's Wrangler occupied my garage so, these 2 were exposed. Both damaged significantly. Hail damage to all 4 sides, roof, hood, trunk, windshields on both are destroyed. There are two spots on my Mustang where baseball sized hail moving at Randy Johnson fastball speed dented the body so bad there is a full thickness crack. Now time to deal with the insurance adjusters and body shops. Good thing for insurance!

Wait, you live in Oklahoma, home to freak storms and your daily driver GTI sits in the garage and not your heavily modified pro-charged Mustang? I have a 2 car garage with a separate 1 car and only in the last few months was I bothered enough to clean things up enough to be able to park 2 cars in them. Shelby had been the only car indoors since we built this place in 2016.

Local meteorologists have lost all credibility and nobody really listens to them. Wouldn't matter if I did pay attention to them because I have the local TV channel playing in my office waiting room and never heard any of them saying something about the potential for severe weather. Nobody predicted this storm. My Amazon Alexa did not even give a warning about potential storms. It usually does. I was cooking dinner, heard some rain, then giant fucking ice baseballs falling from the sky. I took my GTI to the track last weekend and it is in my garage now so I can swap pads/rotors/wheels to my DD sets. Normally I keep my mustang in the garage.

Nature is good at catching you lacking, unfortunately. Large hail is difficult to predict because there's a unique circumstance that creates it, and it's not always clear when the conditions will be right.

My first Mustang was a vert.....never again. Although yours does look nice.

That sucks man. The good thing is you know your way around a car. Now you can replace panels with what you want. Carbon fiber to loose some weight? Restyle it to your liking? Maybe you take the money and move on. Good thing it was a mother nature disaster. not on the track where you get nothing. Good thing you inside when it happened those things look like they could kill you. Good luck.

I don't have skylights. My neighbor did until this storm hit. Destroyed them.

I do like that carbon fiber idea!!!! And a buddy of mine can get me a discount on Anderson Composite products. I've been looking for a replacement hood to put my Race Louvers in, maybe the current hood can be that.

Spent 5 years in OKC.....those storms come outta nowhere fast! Bummer about the cars.....how's the house roof??? sheesh!

Sorry to see that, ugh. Glad you’re ok.
Our homes had the roof replaced twice from hail along with some siding, etc.
Vehicles got hit first time. Paintless dent repair (PDR) techs can do some amazing work.
