On the street, how much of the so called winners are "compeating" against people who aren't racing them?
All those who have never cornered at 1+ g on a track? Anybody who thinks that 0.5g is hard cornering?

The weight in the front is pretty nice so we can use the front tire grip effectively.
It doesn't work like that. The Eco definitely has a nose weight advantage, but that's not enough to beat 100+ HP almost anywhere.

More weight means more grip.

If you put enough tire under either of these cars they’ll both turn well on a road course.

So just pick the one that fits your budget and/or makes you smile the most.

Be careful. Cornering force and cornering g's are not the same thing. If they were, NASCAR might be about Kenworths and Peterbilts instead of Fords and Chevvies.

I was hoping the Ecoboost HP would have been a more dedicated performance upgrade like an SVO of days gone by.

cool, so I should totally strap a few hundred pounds of lead shot to my bumper and throw some in the trunk too and I'll have just tremendous grip.
I see guys in 80's Hondas do that all the time so they don't slide.

Texas has you covered with everything from lawn mower racing to Freightliners. Too bad classes don't exist to divide the two.

In absolute terms, you're correct, but this is a truism. In relative terms (i.e. lateral/vertical load), which is what we care about, you are not.

more turbo, wider tires, Magneride. Just because some doofus keeps buying it with A10 doesn't seem like it's Ford's "fault" so much as Ford should have just deprived the buying public of options and shipped it with one-size fits all. Replacing the sorry-excuse of an intercooler would have been helpful, sure.
