Looking to get a new Mustang GT bust cant decide if I want to spend the extra money on the Premium model. If I go with the base I would get it with the recaros and performance package and If I go with the premium I would get it with performance package and regular leather seats. Has any one had this issue between packages?
Thanks
Robert

Really that's a question only you can answer. I went with a base PP GT w/Recarros. But I focus more on it for track and autocross. Didn't need the extra stuff with it. If that's not a use for you, I don't know why you wouldn't go premium for a DD, unless cash is the issue.

As stated above, only you can answer that.
If I were looking for a track car, I would get a base GT in comp orange with the PP and Recaro's. However, what I am buying is a daily driver and the terrible truth is that I will spend much time in bumper to bumper traffic on I-84 cursing at other motorists. It is for that reason I elected to go premium so that I will have creature comforts like A/C seats and automatic climate control.

i had this same dilemma too. but i couldn't find anything on this list that makes the car perform better.

i really did want those pony projection lights though, even though its just a gimmick. it's pretty damn cool. oh and the air conditioned seats i heard are worth the 4k alone.

i got the base model and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. The cloth seats IMO are better then the leather and fit me better then the Recaro's (and i weigh under 200lbs)

Plus, with going to be ripping apart, theirs no need for the extras.

Base PP. Nothing in the Premium package to make it worth $4K to me.

Even the base seats are pretty good, and if you are going to track the car you want lighter aftermarket seats on lower mounts anyway (the OE Recaros have integrated side airbags that adds substantially to the weight).

For me this car is all about power and driving, It would be nice to have the touch screen but im not doing cross country trips in this car. For me the premium was overkill
Like everyone is saying only you can pick and its also based on your needs of the car

If you want a plush comfy interior with a lot of tech gadgets go premium. I plan to do a lot of road trips in this car so i wanted something comfortable for those long drives, plus i like a lot of tech, so the premium was an instant sell for me.

The base interior is awesome in its own regard, miles ahead of the previous generation.

I had the same dilemma. I went with premium. You can not beat all the extras you get for the money. I think after that, that's where they make their money. Imo

Had same dilemma. But base GT PP with 4k in mods is even harder to compare. To a GT premium pp. Either way it's a win-win. But I haven't decided either

The premium is a good value, though I am loving my recaros, either way you can't go wrong.

I had the same dilemma. One of the tipping factors for me was the buttons on the radio. My OCD would have been through the roof with 40 extra buttons on the base instead of the touch screen in the premium. If I could have gotten the premium with cloth recaros that would have been perfect, but they wouldn't let me order it that way. A couple extra speakers, a few extra gimmicks and a much nicer rear valence add to the value of the premium for me.

Climate control was a must for me so didn't really think too long on the Premium thing...
