The "Build Your Own" website is nice, but it does NOT give you the level of detail that you really want. People who buy Mustangs are car enthusiasts and Ford doesn't seem to understand that enthusiasts want to know all the details. For example, no where can I find real specifications, lime how much do the OEM wheels weigh? And what is meant by "Unique Chassis Tuning?" Too vague for me.

My will be a daily driver in heavy traffic. So I prefer an automatic transmission. And I am very disappointed that I cannot get the PP with auto. (Except for the 50-year LE which is way over priced). On a Sunday drive on a Tennessee country road the MT is preferable. But not on the other 6 days. So I will get an AT, drop the PP, but add after market suspension parts, lime strut tower brace, heavy duty sway bars, springs, lightweight forged wheels, etc.

Is it strange that I prefer the base interior in the V6 over the GT? I don't like the GT cloth seats as much.

Kinda. The rest of the V6 base is very bad. No metallic dash, no chrome surrounds on things. The base GT is a bit better.

I haven't been in a base GT, but a base V6 cloth interior seats were very scratchy, though the seats themselves were comfortable other than that. What made you like the V6 seats better?

I like the look of the V6 seats better; specifically the stitching pattern. The GT has a stitching pattern that I don't like.

You mean the ribbed pattern vs the flatter boxes? To me cloth is cloth. It all feels like cloth, which always feels cheap to me regardless of stitching pattern. It does grip incredibly well though, but doesnt feel sexy enough heh The great thing is if you go aftermarket it replaces the stitch pattern completely.
