Guys with the ZL1 mud flaps, do you have the regular or deluxe version? Deluxe is out of stock. Website uses the same pics for both versions. Just wondering what the difference is between the 2

They are! Just this past week - I did the fronts on Monday, and then I needed to get my new tires installed, so I put the rear on stands, pulled both wheels took them and the new tires to a tire shop and that killed two birds so to speak.

I'll post up some pics later today, but I've got to say, the fitment, install and final results are pretty terrific.

Where are the pictures?

I'm thinking of going with those but haven't seem them on a car yet.

I was given this brand of guards as an Xmas gift - I have the front guards mounted, still need to do rears.

Quality of overall parts included and material, cut/form and texture on 1-10: 10

Price point - very fair considering it is for a set of (4), the slim pickings of other available aftermarket options, getting quality parts that "blend" into the existing factory body lines and lower rocker texture.

I looked into the Ford GT350 rear guards, but for the retail price of just REAR guards, they are just too expensive for what they are (guess because they have "GT350" and "Shelby" associated with them they're gold).

Instructions are included, but total content or "steps" is lacking. Meaning, yes it's understood HOW they should mount, but a little more details and better pics would certainly help a consumer who's not 100% mechanically savvy.

Front tires can be clocked all the way to one side to properly mount front guards.
Rear tires have to be removed to mount rear guards properly. Not a downside just an FYI.

So far, the fronts are working great and have held up to snow/slush/ice, rain and highway speeds in excess of 75mph.

IMO those might help but they are not high enough on the rear quarter panel between the rear wheel and the door. If you are putting spacers on or using wheels that bump out farther that the stock wheels you are going to get rock chips. I haven't noticed any chips in my paint in the locations those anchor room guards are in the link you posted, other than the center one. But I have mud flaps for those other areas.

The tint shop I go to installs the 3m chip guards. They just cut it off a roll and apply it. They did both sides on mine for $100. Pic shows where my 3M guards were applied.

I see now they offer an additional piece that covers up higher in front of the wheel on that Anchor Room kit. You should do that if you go that route.

Any suggestions on replacement mud guards that stay in place better? I had the American Muscle ones but somehow lost part of them (the driver's side). I don't really want to pay for another set since they are rather pricey.
did you have the newer MMD ones from AM? those require drilling look to be pretty secure once properly installed. they have the Pony logo on them as well. think i am going to give them a try.

I would be interested in what you think of them if you get them.

They seem kinda pricy for what they are. Why not just go buy some thick plastic and throw a running pony sticker on them? Kidding aside I too have been looking for a solution before my black paint gets any worse.

I bought the ZL1 Addon front deluxe mud guards; right after sleet and snow

I found the instructions okay, but definitely could be improved, so I will be creating my own PDF instructions with images. Of which I will send to the distributor and hopefully will replace what they currently have.

I will also post it here.

I made some from black ABS sheet. They are big and ugly but they seem to be helping.

I'm pretty sure a member here already provided them improved instructions. So I dunno if the instructions ever got updated, but the original instructions were embarrassingly bad.
