So I have 2500 miles on the car and want to dump the trans oil, has anyone used Redline MTL? It's easier for me to pick that up versus the BG.

I've used Redline MTL for Porsche transaxles with great success. It's essentially a differential oil. Although, you will need to buy the Redline 75W90NS which does not have the friction modifiers that MAY foul up the synchronizers.

I use RP Synchromax, not to be confused with RP Gearmax which is a diff oil like MTL but with friction modifiers included.

The Synchromax is a lighter oil more suited to just a transmission and not a transaxle.

BG Syncroshift II via the Optimum Performance kit was extremely easy and I'm very happy with the results. Cold, it's as smooth as the stock fluid when it was warm, and warm, it's butter. The cold notchiness is basically gone.
Optimum Performance includes a pump and an excess measuring cup in the kit to make it really simple and quick.

Was just about to ask the same thing...so far I've heard of royal purple, amsoil and BG, which is the best transmission fluid?

I'm sure there's claims by each to be the best at something. In the end, it'll be transmission and condition-specific. I'm very, very happy with the BG fluid.

I'm using Amsoil T&TGL 75-90 in my trans based on the recommendation of Ben Calimer. I have the BG fluid in my rear diff...

This is from a Customer who posted on our FB Page, was running Royal Purple.

"Big thank you to Optimum Performance for setting me up with the best fluids for my car. I had issues with two of the popular trans fluids brands the "forum guys" all swear by....so I gave Tim a call and he said "run this", and I've been sold ever since." C6 ZO6 Customer.

20 years ago I was a big RedLine Guy, we sold ton's of their products. Back when we used to build bullet proof T5's MTL was our fluid of choice. BG is just better in the transmission, period. Royal Purple tells you to run a gear-oil in the transmission unless you 'upgrade' to their transmission fluid

Amsoil Guy's will tell you to mix up a cocktail of different fluids but officially tells you they don't have a product that works in the MT82.

BG has a single product that will work in ANY manual transmission and transaxle and they stand behind that. The Tasca and Sentry Dealerships all use BG Products in their service departments. The Auto Nation Chain in Florida just switched over to BG in their service departments.
