Worst shifter ever. the mt82?Really?.Maybe the stock shifter in mine is different then. Or maybe the s550 got better shifters than previous mustangs.

Well maybe it's just my shifter then but if I pull straight back from 5th so it should drop into 4th sometimes it'll drop in to 2nd. Shifter is not tight it's very loose and sloppy.
Anyone looking to get into the Steeda Tri-Ax shifter ... I can help

My stock shifter is fine. If i hurry going into third i can feel some deflection going into gear. It seems to only happen in that gear. I have the frp shifter and steeda bushing, just waiting on cooler weather before i crawl underneath.

I didn't think there was much slop on my stock shifter until I replaced it. Night and day difference. Positive crisp engagement. Well worth replacing it.

On the test drive before buying my car I went from 3 to 6th (100% my fault) but got the hang of the gearbox immediately after. I had an 09 Accord 6 speed which had a similar throw. I did end up with a Barton shifter and love it. I upgraded because I got locked out of 3rd going WOT twice. Well worth the $ and easy install. Others love MGW too.
