Spent about a hour out in the garage and changed the injectors and plugs. Gave it a once over to make sure I've not missed anything.

Still no tune from Lund. Called beefcake today and he said the timing is 3 to 7 days, tomorrow is day 6 (or 7 if you count starting on Wednesday morning) so hopefully it will show up soon.

Crossing my fingers that the stumbling and surging yesterday was because the car wasn't "happy" with the stock tune.
My car stumbled, would not idle, and ran fat as hell before the tune. Normal without the correct tune. Good thing I had the stock plugs in at the time because they were black when I replaced them the next day after the correct tune was loaded. Now it idles and drives like stock with the canned tune from Procharger.

Nice! Do you plan on going to a dyno? (sorry if I missed you mentioning it before)

Haven't decided for sure, but probably will, down the road, once everything is dialed in.

...

Yes, when a customer places the order we need to know everything about the car, location, etc. So that we can make sure the correct pulley is placed in the order. (we need that info to be communicated to us by the selling dealer)

There are many many many people that run our stock "canned" file, both with the 52lb injectors and now the increasing number of 95lb injectors. The tune is set up to run and be safe on gas across the us, various altitudes, etc. And has all safety features still fully operational, like Ford intended. :)

Thanks!
Thank you, thinking I'm going to be sending you a pm when I figure out when I'm going FI.

Don't need to know 'who' details, but what kind of safety features could be cutoff by tuners with their procharger tunes

I'm starting to think that this should have been the route I should have taken, just get a "canned tune". Still haven't gotten my initial tune from Lund. At this rate, doing data logs and waiting for revised tunes, it'll take a month before everything gets sorted out :(.

I can't believe you haven't been sent the canned tune yet - that should just be a quick email from them. I'd get in touch with Lund directly if you haven't already.

FWIW, I don't think there was more than a day that passed between when I sent logs and got the revised file.

I've contacted Lund, they said "they operate on a 5-7 business day fulfillment schedule". This is what has me worried.

BTW, Terry had placed the order right away, once I placed the order thru him. Not upset with beefcake at all.

I see. I imagine that schedule must be for the initial tune? Based on my experience, I'd be surprised if the revisions take that long.

Agree, I got my initial tune in 3 days (wasn't really ready for it, just wanted to get it so it didn't delay my install). All revisions after that were within a 24hr window. Thought it was above and beyond customer service. I did buy direct from them however.

normal turn around is 3-7 business days, with the sale last month, we overloaded them with a ridiculous amount of tunes, so they are playing catch up a bit.

but still usually get them within that time frame

once your in the query, revisions go quick

i think i saw dougs tune go out an hour ago or so

time to get after it!!!

Yeah, funny this thread made me think of something mentioned above. Ford doesn't make you send data logs after buying they car to dial in the factory tune. So wonder what makes a second party like Lund require the tweaking? Are they just not as good at writing tunes as the OEM guys? Made me think that the ProCharger canned tune might be the same in that it works just as good (functionally) as what comes from the factory, but only for a supercharger addition. Hope that makes sense?

Correct beefcake, just got the tune, I'll be installing after work. Question, does the stock tune get saved on the SD card during the initial tune download? A little intimidated with the nGuage, don't know why, back in the day, I did my own tuning with LS1 Edit.

ngauge is the least intimidating tuner out there

plug in the usb, hit diagnostics, copy / paste the tune file to the gauge, takes about 10 seconds

go out to the car and flash,

and done, and it will save the stock file
