She lives!! Will do idle logs for Lund, after supper. Wife is happy, I can finish buttoning up and make room in the garage for her car again.

Here is how I work it.

Her: Honey can I park my car in the garage?

Me: Well if you can squeeze that big ass Navigator between the Z06 and the Mustang then you can.

Her: Well that is going to happen cause there is only 2 feet between them.

Me: Well it looks like you need to work some overtime so I can build a shop.

End of conversation.

Having issues dataloging with nGuage. Posed the question to Lund but thought I'd post up here too. Tired to datalog and following instructions, it says I don't have a config file. Tried to access the sd card thru nGuage and it says not installed, removed/replaced several times, no joy. Popped the sd card into my PC and it reads fine, but config folder is empty. Am I doing something wrong?

some of the updates that were done on the newest firmware didn't have the config files in them

here is the complete 195 update page including the zip file

https://support.lundracing.com/hc/en-us/articles/216668298-Lund-Racing-nGauge-Recovery-Files-FW195-

plug in the usb, hit diagnostics, then usb.

right click and save the zip to your desktop, then right click it and hit extract all, and select the ngauge as the place to unzip to, and overwrite any files in there.

if your already on firmware 195, nothing else is needed to be done

if you were on pre 195, then you'll need to update from sd card in the diag section of the gauge

should take about 1 minute to do everything

there are 2 updates, just so everyone knows, just the 195 firmware, or the complete firmware

the reg firmware won't have any configs in it if you don't have any for some reason.

you need the full compliment of files. the most common download is just the upgrade, but that won't get the job done if you need the configs

Remote Tuning session is progressing nicely. Greg from Lund is right on top of my logs when I send them in. Just did a WOT on Rev 3 of the tune and getting stronger with each pull. Still a lot negative knock, up to almost -4. Can't wipe the grin off my face right now :D!

Yeah, funny this thread made me think of something mentioned above. Ford doesn't make you send data logs after buying they car to dial in the factory tune. So wonder what makes a second party like Lund require the tweaking? Are they just not as good at writing tunes as the OEM guys? Made me think that the ProCharger canned tune might be the same in that it works just as good (functionally) as what comes from the factory, but only for a supercharger addition. Hope that makes sense?
The way it works is the OEM tune is purposefully very conservative so that it will work for anyone anywhere and not damage anything in any possible situation, so on the assembly line they can just quickly flash it and move the car along to the next step.

It's the same when you buy an Off The Shelf tune from a tuner. It's less conservative than the OEM one so a tiny bit more risk with something going wrong, but still fairly conservative so that it just works for anyone flashing it.

When you get a custom tune, that's when they tweak it further to squeeze out every bit of power from your exact car in your exact location with your exact mods.

The OEMs have millions of dollars, and thousands of hours in creating calibrations for stock (low HP, N/A) cars. (Both in dyno testing, track testing, and even taking cars up to the coldest places on earth, and the hottest places on earth)

And even after all that.... you still see multiple calibration "updates" that come out over the lifespan of a model of cars production. ;)

So nope, no "datalogging" but if you drove one of the first S550 Mustangs, and then drove another one that was purchased 6-8 months later... you would know what I am talking about. ;)

Or drive a car with one of the first GM 6 speed calibrations, and then jump in a new "SS" sedan...literally NIGHT and day as far as the trans calibration alone goes.

Here at ProCharger we use loads and loads of the best testing and diagnostic and tuning equipment, to create powerful and reliable tunes. However the OEMS will always have the deeper pockets. ;) and get the advantage of years of time to spend on a calibration before the car ever comes out.

Whats awesome is for the absolutely insane amount of power these cars can make, you sure don't see many threads about "I blew up my motor"... thats a testament of how good tunes are these days, as well as the hardware in the motors :)

Well, the install is done and the she is buttoned back up (only a couple of push pins left over, lol). Still working with Lund on the remote tune, just did a WOT of Rev 4. Still a little choppy at 2500-3500 and a lot of negative knock.

Good stuff.

So, how does it feel so far? Do you notice much more torque down at the lower rpms? Or do you really need to rev it out to notice?

Not a good feel for it yet, will be able to tell more once the tune is squared away. But I can say it pulls like mad over 4K :D.
