I looked at the mirror covers and I can still go back and get them but my question is since they’re not painted the color of the car and they’re just basically black plastic is it really necessary? I get the rocks but even a rock I guess it could fly off the mirror and hit the car too.
They’re not really necessary in your case then. Mine are painted the color of the car, so I was looking for protection on mine. The Novistretch mirror covers tore when I tried to put them on. They were obviously sewn too tight.

I read that as well in the reviews. They said for the Mustang mirrors they were quite tight so I could see why yours tore. Since my arm painted I think I’m good to go with just the front.

May is love bug season in Florida so if you have never heard of them, you will appreciate having the nose bra to protect the front of your car from them. They are black 1/2 inch sized bugs that congregate in masses on the roadways that will completely cover the front of your car and windshield while driving that you will eventually need to stop and clean off the windshield just to see. Most interstate/turnpike rest stops actually have windshield cleaning sprayers just to clean them off.

Search "Florida love bug season to get an idea of what you will be driving in with them.

You left out the most amusing part, they have a life span of 2 to 3 days which is why you always see them flying in pairs, as they are constantly mating :cwl:

Installed the Novistretch this morning. Gonna drive it to work on Tuesday make sure everything holds up on the highway at high speeds and then take it off and wait for the trip. As you said pretty simple. I really like the design and how they utilized things already on the car especially under the hood. I did not use the piece of Velcro yet. I’m wondering if you did?

Looks like you’re all set and ready for the road trip. I didn’t use the Velcro piece on mine either.

The countdown has started on my last week here in this idiot state of California.

The truck will be here Friday to load us up and then we start driving Saturday morning. I’m going to save two dollars a gallon just by crossing the Arizona border. It’s only gonna get better from there as I travel through Texas.

Bang! The move is completed and on its way to Florida. 8 AM tomorrow morning I start out towards Arizona…seven hour days. I’m sure some of you can do more but we’re gonna take it easy with two cars in the Dawg. I am so looking forward to this trip. Pics coming for anybody who’s interested.

Well the first leg is done. About seven hours or a little more. It was actually honestly a breeze. I thought I’d have a hard time with the Recaros

The front end bra is working great. I did notice on my passenger side front fender near the headlight it looks like I might’v got nicked a little by something off the road. Once I get to the house tomorrow and I’m settled in I’m going to take a photo of it. It’s not bad at all and I’m pretty sure it can be taken care of. Not bad so far for 1900 miles. 600 more to go
