Motor Oil Price

On Amazon's website, they have Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Motor Oil, 5W-30 at $65.00 for a 3 pack of 5 quart jugs. This price can't be beat and it's what I have used in my car since it was new. Don't have the BBQ tick, and hopefully don't get it, not sure if it is attributed to motor oil, but I use this is all my cars. Just giving people a heads up, couldn't find out on Amazon's website how long this price is good for.

That is a pretty decent deal! Good find.
I have always used 5W-30 Mobil 1 from Costco.
It is around $20-$24 for a box of six one-quart bottles when on sale, or ~$30 full price.

Never had a tick on either one of my two S550 Mustangs. Since neither one of us have the tick and are using 5W-30 instead of 5W-20, I have to wonder if that is helping to prevent the tick? Maybe not a solution but at least a preventative measure.

Good price for a great oil. I used the Ultra Platinum on a turbo DI car and at 35k miles/4 years miles there was barely any buildup on the valves.

I am using motorcraft full-syn 5w30 on my M1 and have never heard a tick, almost 14k miles currently.

Yeah, I'm sure. I feel that Amazon and Walmart can't be beat for their motor oil prices. Those 2 places are where I have purchased oil, like forever.

I've just used 5W-30 as that's what's on the oil filler cap.

I like Pennzoil's Platinum series, as it states it's made from natural gas, is carbon neutral and very clean. I'm not one of those guys that studies or compares oil, but it seems to work ok for me. I have no oil consumption to speak of, so I think spending a bit more for it is ok with me, although I just posted this because of the incredible price. I have Mazda CX 5 that uses 0W-20, and I've never seen a deal like that for this oil weight. Although it requires just 5 quarts.

I get a 5 liter jug at Walmart for 30 Canuckistan dollhairs.

Mazda CX 5 that uses 0W-20

that's just a CAFE dodge/goal-seeking. The engine will be perfectly fine at 5-20 and more than likely 5-30.

Oh so you are one of the unicorns? Maybe I should switch to motorcraft full-syn. I have always used the synthetic blend and all my Coyotes have ticked as expected. But I might just do it for research purposes.

Same. I switched to this and now I don't need to add Ceratec. So that alone makes it a money saver. More Canuckistan $ in my pocket. Win-win.
