Does any one have the values to add remote start back to the menu options? Remote start still works on my car but I do not have access to the setting any more in the menus.

Thanks to everyone involved with getting this info out. I will be adjusting a few things that have been bugging me for 3 years now on my '16 GT Vert this weekend.

One thing that is still an annoyance is this: I bought the car with factory remote start and used it fine for a few months. It then setting off the alarm right after starting and has done this consistently since. I've had it in for service on this three times and gave up after the last time. Techs at first said nothing was wrong, then they said they wanted it back in because they suspected the alarm was mis-reading the vehicle angle. They replaced that sensor and said it was fixed. I remote started it at the dealership when I went to pick it up and the alarm went off right in front of them. I just SMH and drove away, but I am starting to think it could be as simple as the break-in mics triggering from my exhaust. It's not open-pipes loud, but it's pretty throaty before the car idles down.

That said, is there a setting we can get to that could turn down the sensitivity (or turn off) the break-in mics so I can test this?

**EDIT** I just tested it again and it is remote-starting fine where it's parked now. Maybe it's just "special". /sigh

I have always wanted my gauge needles to wave at me when I turned the car on. I believe the Focus ST does this so there must be a code for it somewhere...whether it is compatible or not would be interesting,

Just a heads up @AngelDeath

The OBDLink MX (red wifi version) is listed as NOT recommended for use with FORScan, according to their compatible adapters post (see section 4):

https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6142

Just found this out when I ran into compatibility problems with it. It reads things fine but won't let me change as-built data.

The Bluetooth version seems to be the way to go.

Thanks for all the helpful info!

This is incredible. I feel really dumb buying an SCT X4 to calibrate my speedometer like I was told it would, then I was told a custom tune would calibrate the speedometer so I ended up with a really expensive purchase only to find this thread a year later that would have saved me so many headaches lol.

A few questions:

1) I went from 3.15 to 4.09:1 on my 2016 GT CS. Are the current gear ratio codes confirmed to be working properly from the "S550 AS-BUILT VALUES" file?

2) Is there any update that would prevent me from making changes to my BCM currently?

3) Should I put the stock tune back in my vehicle before making any changes to BCM? I currently have a Steeda custom tune that I was told would calibrate my speedometer for 4:09:1 gears.

4) This method does make changes to the BCM correct?

Sorry I'm a total noob when it comes to this. I have all the programs and files but I just want to make sure this method would still work on my GT/CS before buying the recommended tool. Thank you for the responses.
I'll try to answer your questions in order.

1.) For whatever reason, this doesn't seem to work for gear changes. We know the gear ratio is stored in the BCM, but the PCM has it's own data on that. The PCM vehicle data relearn tells the PCM to look at the BCM for the wheel size, but nobody has reported that it works for the gear ratio. HOWEVER - If you have a stick car, lots of people report having no issue after a gear swap whereas with the autos you get limp mode and P codes that can only be resolved with a tune as of right now.
2.) Don't know what you mean.
3.) Yes.
4.) Yes, just the as-built though.

1) I changed the BCM with the Steeda tune for 4.10 gearing and it was a night and day difference. My car was in constant limp mode in the lower gears for a year before I found out about this. The car now shifts so much better and I did not do the PCM relearn yet. I'm currently in the process of recovering my stock file so I can try a PCM relearn and see how it works. I will post an update once I do.

2) By update I meant like some sort of BCM or PCM firmware update that would prevent me making changes, but I don't think it works that way lol.

Thank you for the response and Merry Christmas.

hi, just wondering if anyone has had issues with their tachometer not working, i have done the 2018 cluster upgrade from a 2106 and it was working on the new cluster but after making changes it has now stopped. I tried resetting everything back to factory but still no go, any ideas would help of if anyone can share their modified IPC and SCCM files so i can compare. everything else is working fine. Is there a module that works for the tacho other than the IPC or SCCM

Try putting your IPC 720-07-02 back to stock. For reference, mine is 8000 38E8

In the future, you might want to post this or similar question in the thread that deals specifically with this upgrade and necessary as-built data.

EDIT: That as built is not the stock one that I posted....sorry. Try 0000 0030

Is it possible to change trans gear ratios in forscan? Installed a tr3160 in my 5.0 and have a power loss in 4th gear. Ive only read about rear end ratio changes so far.

You need to go through a tuner to adjust that. Lund, PBD, etc, etc

Lund made my corrections for my magnum xl which also affects if your cruise control works properly.

Is it not possible to change in forscan myself like a rear end gear ratio?
