Modifying As-Built Data Guide

In the APIM as built a few lines down you will see 5553, change it to 5753. I discovered this when comparing to a Russian vehicle.

This will unlock the keyboard in motion, be safe and use at your own risk. Don't use it at a dumb time lol.

You will lose a few things doing this: Vehicle health reports, Sirius Travel Link, and maybe something else. But you can always change the code back if it's an issue for you.

All these things that you lose are not available in Europe, so it's probably a settings to set the world zone.

There is a fuse in the footwell on the passengers side in the v6's for sound enhancement, pulling it does quiet it down on the V6, I wonder if the v8 has the same fuse.

But what would be really great is having the sports mode exhaust all the time without having to go into sport mode.

BTW how does anyone feel about the fin/gills by the headlights being off during the day, and only come on with parking lights or night time and being off the rest of the time? Just a thought that whizzed by my head.

I did the Ford service access for $22 for three days. I downloaded and was looking at the wiring for the active noise control. Manual said theres a mic in the overhead console and under the headliner in the rear on the coupe. So, I pulled my overhead console and the mic doesn't exist on my GT.

Heh, that would be sweet, but I'm guessing the lawyers wouldn't allow this at any trim level. Not just Ford but any maker (GM, Chrysler) if I were a betting man.

How about cruise control always engaged? I hate to have to turn it on every time then press set.

This is more Ford engineering at work that sucks. Every GM product I've owned or drove will engage cruise if you hit the correct button (set,accel, ect.) without having to turn it on first. They really need to start consulting me.

Do the PP cars actually display a numerical oil pressure in the center display between the gauges? I have been comparing some as built files but I am unsure about this.

Nope, just a "dummy" gauge. I assume it's the same as non-PP cars.

Unless I'm wrong, having looked a bit further into this, I dont think this is controlled by any modules, I think this is a remote power wire, I could be wrong.

[MENTION=25893]DanMc85[/MENTION], On our mustangs we have four rockers, Hazard, Steering wheel, driving mode, traction control. Is this part of the BCM or BCMB? I was looking for another irritating thing ford did and wanted to change.

They have it that when you select a drive mode (using today as the example) wet/snow and if you shut the car off it defaults back to normal. I would like to see if there is a way to have it remember the last driving mode you were in, so when you have it set for wet/snow (or any other) and you go to the store and shut off the car and get back in and start it, it remains in the mode you had it in instead of having to keep changing it.

My wife's Cherokee does exact same thing, every time you turn car off then restart, all drive settings back to base.

I would think some kind of module might be working the gills. My (pathetically weak) reasoning being ...they dim down when you turn on parking lights/head lights. Then again there about 12 wires running into the headlights so.....I dunno.

What do these two accronyms mean? I thought BCM=Body Control Module, but not sure what that would make BCMB???
