EDIT: 911 assist and viewing text messages from SYNC does not seem to work now (even after deleting and re-adding my phone). I may have to roll back a few changes to see what caused this.

FWIW, I lost text messages about a week ago and I haven't made any changes. So don't be 100% sure its something you did.

Seemingly right again. It still works, it started working again once I got a text message while in the car. Writing these values seems to erase some things (including DST offset in the clock) and it appears any prior messages received in the car are part of this.

I also seem to have isolated the 911 assist error to the Ambient Light option that doesn't work for us. I didn't disable it. Once I did, it seems the error has vanished. odd.

Th car goes back in for evaporator replacement tomorrow, so I'll enjoy my colorful SYNC menus and seat buttons for now.

I also picked up an ODB extension cable. It's about a meter long and lets me put the adapter pretty much anywhere I want. I usually drape it over the steering wheel for now so I have a better view of the data lights on the adapter while I'm in the car. Then, the Microsoft Surface sits fairly well on the center console.

I wonder if changing 783-01-01 0000 to 1000 would enable subwoofer signal output and remote turn-on in the DSP? Which are pins 1,2 and 9 in the Gray 16 pin connector.

Ok, dipping my toes into the bounty of data...

I turned on the climate seat touchscreen buttons. They work wonderfully.

For the Multicolor SYNC3 screens, am I correct in assuming so far the colors are limited to the functions (i.e. audio is maroon, climate is blue, phone is yellow, etc..)? I edited 7D0-03-01 to xxxx x0x2 xxxx and xxxx x1x2 xxxx per this post, but only x0x2 seemed to work for me.

So you were able to activate the seat controls onto the SYNC3 in a 2016? Any functional issues - do they work smoothly as if using the actual physical buttons?

No functional issues at all. The 1-2-3 LEDs on the physical and touchscreen buttons work in sync with the LEDs on the physical buttons, and even the heated/AC seat icons display in the menu bar. I tried activating the seats using the touchscreen and physical switches, both work beautifully.

I can confer the same, I did this about 2 weeks ago with no issues. Shows up in the Home screen and the climate screen.

THAT is awesome!! IMO, Ford should have left them on the SYNC3 like it was for the previous MFT in the 15's.

You all are doing excellent research - thanks to all who have tested and are running through the AsB datasets!

No, and it actually caused odd problems.

I don't believe the Ambient Lighting menu will ever work for us, and it's our fault as Mustang owners. The settings only allow the typical 7 set colors of the normal ambient light systems available in most other Ford vehicles. Mustang's ambient lighting is much more complex, allowing us 256 color options in two zones (gauges and ambient). The Ambient Lighting menu is simply too ... basic ... for us.

As for odd problems, when I had it enabled, and my phone connected over Bluetooth, I kept getting visual and audio warnings that "911 Assist is not functioning. Please see your dealer for service". Once I disabled the ambient light menu, it stopped. I really don't know why these were related, but that's what I got.

That's actually good info. I doubt many people know that the BCM has to be modified if you swap out the diff. I didn't.

Most do it with a tune. You don't have to, but your odo and mileage will become slightly incorrect if you don't cater for the ratio change.
