I regret going with 25% tint. It's perfect in the day light but a shade too dark at night.
lol what? really?

15% here!.... too dark at night my butt lol

I went with 15% I love the dark.
Agreed. I went with 20% but wouldn't mind 15% next time. Still happy, but maybe just a tad bit darker would be nice :D

Good thread. This is why I'm not doing any permanent mods like axleback.

I regretted doing full tint on the headlights. I have since bought the tinted corners for the factory headlamps and I am much happier. The headlight performance just plain sucks with fully tinted headlights. All of the other mods I have loved.

My number one mod is still the MGW shifter though. If you have a manual and don't want to do anything to it I would still suggest the MGW shifter.
Thanks, that is actually my next planned mod...I don't have a huge issue with the current manual set up (not the best, but not horrible), but the reviews for the MGW shifter are just off the charts.

I actually just took my intake and tune off to get an HVAC problem fixed with the car and now regret buying the setup. For some reason I actually like the drivability of the car without the tune and intake and will be selling them soon. In hindsight I would have rather just saved the money and bought suspension upgrades.

Springs. Not bad, just something to hold me till there were some good coil over options. Changing soon.

I have no regrets on my mods. I like my BMR springs a LOT. It actually took the bounciness out of the rear and handles great. I have been mainly waiting for deals to pop up so I feel like I've gotten a good deal on mostly everything I've bought.

I think if you find some great vendors to work with and do research before you buy, you can't go wrong with choosing mods. Lethal, American Muscle, Beefcake, Steeda, MAK and Need4Speed are all great vendors to work with. There are also some that are a complete pain if you have a problem. Check the feedback section and there are a ton of product reviews to look through! Happy Modding!

I would +never+ tint my headlamps (or tail lamps), or do anything that might reduce the performance of the safety equipment.

I drove through fog in Austin so thick this morning I needed a machete to hack through it, and when it comes to exterior lights, I don't just want to see, I want to be seen by others. It's one of the reasons I am so in love with the S550 brake lights. Just don't accidentally look at them in your dark garage when they flash. :eyebulge:

Exactly right about exterior lights. Never tint them. Embrace them the way they are, "they're gonna make you proud some day". Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade

for the 400th time, tail light tint with correct tint reduces the brightness of the already insanely bright tail lights like 3%... it's hardly a difference. I don't have it personally but for people who do and get the right tint it's a non issue
