I was also disappointed with the lack of oil temp when I took delivery of my 19 PP2. I found an earlier thread discussing the issue and one remedy which involved swapping the standard GTPP gauge cluster with a GT350 gauge cluster. The swap replaces vacuum gauge with oil temp. Was plug-in-play; cost was about $250.

Be aware that the GT350 cluster does NOT support MyColor. It’s one color.

True, I probably should’ve included that info in my post.
Yes, based on other posts, some members sneak upgrades past their wives. I know mine wouldn't notice the vacuum gauge changed to oil temp but would sure notice it was suddenly a different color.

Just picked up my ‘19 PP2 Digi-Dash a week ago and was very disappointed as well. Dealer confirmed this FW does NOT have oil temp.
Such a basic and critical instrument for such a high performance model as this is beyond “just an oversight”. I am wondering if there is proprietary info here or Ford is worried that it takes so long to heat 10 Qts of oil that customers may complain?
Then make it a special request for owners for a flash to update and give to use in real numbers as well, not the dummy gauge. I’ll even pay for the flash.

Would it be safe to assume that when the Automatic Transmission Temperature gauge rises out of the blue sector (120 F), the engine oil is at normal operating temperature?

Since this post, another member confirm the gauge pack has the different color LEDs inside. It Does support MyColor.

(Pictures of the GT350 gauges displaying color or it didn't happen).

The new part number that does support MyColor would be nice.

See below....
I was under the impression that the current GT350 center gauge pod(FR3Z-10849-E) does not support MyColor. It’s whitish/grey in color only.
It is white/grey on a Shelby but once installed on a mustang with mycolor option you can switch colors. The gauge does have RGB LEDs inside. I have taken apart already.

I don't see where that thread said MyColor actually works with the GT350 center gauges, just that it should in theory because the part has RGB LEDs in it. Will be nice to actually see one working, i.e. changing the colors via MyColor and having them match the rest of the lights controlled by MyColor. And since other members have confirmed the gauges they installed in their MyColor car did NOT change colors with MyColor it would have to take some tweak or new part number.

I would do the swap on mine today if I could figure out how to make it work with my color.

I just picked up my 2020 GT PP1 401A and confirmed that we still do not have the digital oil temperature gauge (even though the owners manual still indicates that it is a selection). Probably the most important sensor indication for a performance car that is pushed to upper rev limits. Unbelievable that Ford does not have that sensor??? I guess I will just use the Cylinder Head gauge.

I have a Nov 2017 build 2018 Mustang GT and it does have the digital oil temp gauge. It seems that a software revision soon after removed that option which makes zero sense! WTH Ford :/
