Nothing but Adam's microfiber towels here.
They are stupid expensive, but man, do they work insanely well and scratch free. Perfect!

Hey @DFB5.0 can you use the CarPro Perl on the inside of the Mustang, diluted, with a microfibre towel? Looking for an all-in-one cleaner for the inside. Seats, Doors, Dash etc.

Lot's of interesting comments on here. @MCS, I think DFB5.0 posted somewhere what he uses for the interior.

Yeah I did see that thread, however wasn't sure if he did that with a microfibre or not. Thanks, I'll head back over there.

I use chemical guys. brand new washed for a little drying in spots, or spray detailer. I then steam wash them, and generally move them into the engine detailing pile. If the new one was barely used I'll wash and add it back to the "new" pile. After that they get a 3rd life for wheel cleaning, then I toss them.

If one touches the ground at any time I throw it away. Those microfibers will hold onto driveway grit, and I won't trust em ever again.

That sounds like a really good protocol. I like it!

Man you sound like me. Never thought of making an engine detail pile. I normally toss my towels but I will start to do that. Makes sense.

Just give em a little extra life that way. The amount of money I've thrown away in micro fibers over the years is prob fairly significant haha

Yes you can, dilute it at 1:5 for interior use. Either use a folded towel or a Microfiber pad/applicator.

This may or may not make sense to anybody else, but the older I get the more I want to simplify things and eliminate as many processes that require deliberation as possible. And microfiber can be one heck of a rabbit hole.

Accordingly I’ve just placed an order with TRC in hopes of getting down to just two towels: one for drying and one for everything else. I ordered several ā€œThe Big Onesā€ for drying and I’ll wash and reuse those as needed. But I also ordered a case of 250 of the Edgeless 300 16x16s for literally everything else. They may not be absolutely the best choice for any one task but it seems they’re at least good at pretty much everything. And at 85 cents each (wholesale case price + free shipping) I’m not gonna be washing them.

We’ll see how this works out. I have high hopes!

It makes total sense. I was ordering some supplies from Autogeek yesterday and was thinking about getting more towels. Then I looked at my cabinet and said "hell no, I'm not @DFB5.0, I have enough. :giggle::crazy:
