I'm having a bad issue with lint from my microfiber towels. I use super plush 75/25 blend 600g/m2 weight towels. I wash the towels with wolfgang microfiber cleaner and rejuvenator. I air dry them without a dryer sheet. My black car is covered in lint after I'm done washing/polishing. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or have the same issue?:frusty: It looks like small fibers from the towel all over my car.

Yep I have two absorbers and use the crap out of them. I go over it once with the absorber and then microfiber waffle weave towels from chemical guys. Usually not enough water left to make the fibers stick.

The lint is really after the car is dry and I'm using quick detailer or a polish.

How many uses have you had out of the towels? Could just be that time to get new inventory if you have had them a long while.

They have done it since new. Ive used them maybe 5-6 times and they get worse every time. I hate to buy the cheap towels but my $2 microfiber is better than these $8 ones.

I use Chemical Guys Work Horse Green towels. A pack on Amazon is about 15 dollars for 12. I washed with the Chemical Guys Microfiber Wash and no issues.

I recently switched from genuine chamois to Cobra Guzzler waffle weave microfiber for drying and I'm very pleased. Not a fleck of lint. I would say you need to dump whatever towels you have and replace them with towels better suited to the purpose. I've been getting mine here: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/towels---chamois.html

Keep using the good stuff, like CarPro or Adams Polish microfiber BUT remember that lint will get stuck on everything from exterior window stripping to interior dash.

A strip of duct tape will work miracles to clean lint up :)

You need to watch the "how to wash your microfiber towels " on YouTube by AMMO NYC. You are definitely using ones that are too "furry." He's just one opinion, but it's a damn good one. You'll never use a shammy or a water blade again, that's for sure.

aren't chamois notorious for being bad on wax? dunno don't use them. I use waffle weave for drying.
