Well since the Pilot Super Sport tires are being phased out, and are being replaced by the pilot 4s. The the 4s tire is not currently available or to become available in the very near future in a 305/35r19. It would be nice to see how much interest there is in Michelin offering the 4s in a 305/35r19. I have already contacted Michelin to submit a request, and it just might help for others do the same. They did however state they would be releasing new tire sizes but nothing currently in the 305/35r19.

I am currently running the 4s tires with a 325/30r19 tire on the rear and me personally feel it is not necessary to have to run this wide a tire with the 4s's tire composition. I feel the 305 would be plenty of rubber for street use with the occasional track day. Furthermore a bit more side wall would be more benificial. I only chose this tire size because there isn't anything available over a 295 in a 35 series in a 19" that is. So maybe with some feedback we could expidite the process.

Lets see those reponses!

Yep, definitely need a better choice on the 35 series. 305/35R19 would keep the gear ratio on par too.

I'd really like to run 295/35 and 305/35 on my PP2. I called but they didn't have any info on a 305 replacement.

Yes same here. Actually i'm fine with 285/35 I currently am running on the front just wish they had a 305/35 for the rear. As mentioned I put in request to Michelin. Not holding my breath but with enough interest it might be possible for release on them.

I haven't looked at the exact specs but the 295 seems to produce the exact same sidewall appearance as the 305 on the 11" rear (according to my tire spec visualizer). It's the same sizes as the GT350 and though the Super Sport is standard on those and likely a fine tire, from every single review and write up the PS4S is the best possible tire for street use. I am just going to go 305's if the staggered /35 set isn't available in the spring. Did you sell/keep/run out your Cup2's? I think I'll keep them if I can't fetch good $$$ for them. Would love to see photo of your set up.

I have a 2017 Gt PP. I recently got new wheels and tires to replace my PP wheels. Here is a pic of my new setup.

I emailed them recently about more availability for a 35 series tire for the rear. They didn't say of any plans to do a 305/35 sized tire but who knows if they will or not. I'd love to see a 305/35-19 like the super sports.

I hear ya... i'm curious as to what the gt350 owners are going to use for a replacement since that was the oem size. They will have to run something similar to mine I suppose or go down to a 305/30 which is smaller in diameter than the 325/30.

So realistically if I wanted to do PS4S tires with a 285/35-19 up front, my closest option is a 325/30-19 correct?

Correct and the 325/30 is .2" smaller than the 285/35. Not a noticable difference. Or, you could do a 275/35 which I believe is .1" smaller than the 325 but has the same sidewall height based off the tire calculator. For me my perfect staggered setup is 305/35 rear and the 285 or 275/35 front.

So after thinking about it more...i'm not too keen on doing the 325/30 on the rear. Looks like it would be too much tire for the 11" wheel and bulge...probably won't help handling much. Looks like I may just do a 295/35 at this point (and at least it will be marginally cheaper).

I run 325/30 R19 PS4S on Apex EC-7 19 ET52 Wheels and they fit very well. I don't have any problems and find them to perform well for my needs. I don't think the difference from these to 305/35 R19 would be very noticeable. Would the price be better maybe? That would affect the decision.

305/35r19 will have more sidewall compared 325/30. In my opinion more sidewall on the rears looks better as apposed to a more low profile look on the s550 that is.

The 305 should also have a very slight stretch on an 11" wheel just like my 285/35 have on a 10". The 325 on an 11" have a very slight bulg. Not noticable from a slight distance and also have kinda of a square sidewall. So aesthetically the 305/35 to me would look better and would match the look of my front tires.

Although Michelin states the 325 can safely be mounted on min. 11" wheel I feel they would be better fitted on a 12" maybe even a 11.5.

Also it has been said the that a tire with a slight stretch will perform better with less roll.

Here are a couple comparison pics.
