Has anyone tried MPS4S 265/40ZR19 on the front and 285/35ZR19 on the rear of 2017 GT PP car?

This is one size up from factory size and would add 1 inch in width front and rear. It also adds 1/32" tread depth when new. Also adds 0.2" overall diameter on fronts and lose 0.2" in rear.

I am satisfied with the performance of the MPS4S in stock tire sizes. I am interested in if anyone else has run these "one size up" and what their opinion is of the change?

285/35R19 is smaller than the stock PP1 275/40R19.

Are you sure you did that math right?

Tons of us are running 285/35R19 square with aftermarket 10" wide wheels.

Tons of us are running 285/35R19 square with aftermarket 10" wide wheels.
Gotcha. Maybe I wasn't too clear with " and lose 0.2" in rear." No Worries. I realize that the tire is smaller in diameter and thus circumference but it is wider.

What is your opinion of the square setup vs. staggered? I am interested in if there are any gains to be had and what drawbacks there are.

As I said, I am not displeased with what I have, but I am interested in a little more.

Oh, I love the square setup. Handles great (more front tire really helps it handle more neutrally and w/o such a big dead spot between understeer and oversteer).

Also its worth it just to be able to freely rotate any wheel to any corner of the car. No more having to replace front and rear tires at different intervals.

With the majority of the weight over the front axle, it really helps to have a decently wide tire up there. No downsides. 285/35R19 on a 19x10 ET35 is an easy square setup which fits well on both axles.

Can you post a photo? I am interested in seeing what they look like as far as fender gap. Do you run spacers? Is your car lowered? Did you keep stock back spacing (for the rears) on all four?

I would prefer not to run spacers and am not going to lower the car.

This is stock springs and ride height / fender gap. I may have a 5mm spacer on the front because I was running a bit more than stock camber in this photo, but this is pretty representative of what it looks like.

The ET35 10" wheel is a more aggressive offset than stock and so it will sit closer to the fenders than stock wheels, so that really helps to visually close the fender gap without actually lowering the car.

In a nutshell staggered are for look and squared for handling
The Mustang is a front heavy pig that need much wider front tires to correct the factory designed understeer
if interested I have a set of 19, 10x35, black pp1 replica, like new, that i would let go cheap. Not sure of shipping cost….

Sorry, I can't speak for the stock PP wheels - only answering here since you said you were also interested to hear about square setups. But I agree with NightmareMoon - Car feels balanced with a square setup and can rotate the tires as needed. Also ET 40 works well on 19x10 at least in my case. My car is lowered on BMR suspension (1.25" in front, 0.5" in rear).
