I agree. HSV used to look different from the Commodore models but now they all look similar!IF the mustang is as good as it I will be happy what the VF lacks though and will never have is its not Special....Even HSV's aren't as special as a Mustang.
weight, power and final ratio are all very similar. you would think they'd be very even, ss has a bit more torque thoughAs for 0-100, is the new Mustang REALLY slower as stock than the SSV? Not a deal breaker by any means for me - this can always be improved. Just find this a bit odd.
Ive got the 6.0L with a VCM over the radiator, catback and Tune....it makes 320 odd kW so slightly up on the LS3...Welcome to look at anytime though lol.OZDAZ5.0 has yours got the LS3? If so, I wouldn't mind having a look at that, I think I remember you saying you're near Hocking...
I can show you my 86 lol
I went out one day with all three green approval lights on (1x accountant 1x wife and 1x me) ready to buy a VF GTS.....After a drive I was struggling with the fact I'm about to pay 94k for a Commodore that really didn't look much different to the SS next to it and it was in fact JUST a commodore.. Mind you it was the quickest car I had ever driven (scary fast)...I ended up leaving HSV and 30 minutes later I signed up for a car I've always loved and had no intentions of buying but the right place-right time test drive made me the owner of a 2014 Billet Silver SRT JEEP....And it was for the 10 months I had it THE best car I've ever owned...It was silly fast, it had THE best gearbox and 8 speed shift I have ever driven and did a best 0-100kph of 4.4 seconds in a family SUV......BUT now I can't wait to get my Stang...I agree. HSV used to look different from the Commodore models but now they all look similar!
I'll stick with my first gen factory right hand drive Mustang.
I didnt really like the bi-model sound when I drove a VF GTS....I normally put Mants exhausts on my cars and heres a good video of Manta catback vs bi-modelI don't know if this is sacrilege, but I don't actually much like the note of the new SSV Redline (I'm not a Holden vs. Ford person by any means, in fact I've driven many more Holdens). Had a look at one at Holder dealer a month or so ago as I was thinking of buying one to replace our old VP. Dealer made such a big deal about the sound. Wife (who wants a new 4-door as she's pregnant and Mustang's aren't that child friendly) was not that impressed, though pretty good car in all other respects it seems. I can't put my finger on exactly why I'm not that keen on the sound. Sounds more theatrical than actually powerful? I don't know. Same-ish engine (different tune I'm guessing) in the new generation Corvette sounds amazing (friend's husband has one, registered in NZ but comes to Oz for 2 years, in a container). Still might buy one at some point. We didn't drive it as we were there translating for her parents (Spanish speakers), who for some unknown reason bought a Cruze. Please. Never. Buy. That. Car.

That is one average looking 4-door sedan.Show's over folks, go buy the SSV

Well depends on who's driving too.weight, power and final ratio are all very similar. you would think they'd be very even, ss has a bit more torque though
Daz, we'll talk hahaIve got the 6.0L with a VCM over the radiator, catback and Tune....it makes 320 odd kW so slightly up on the LS3...Welcome to look at anytime though lol.
Agree. Can't stand the cheap look of the VF interior, even if materials are nicer than ever before. It just looks like something cheap from korea. It's the interior of those cars that bug me personally.
US PP has the 3.73 rear, we only get the 3.55 which makes a bit of difference (not massive but still counts)Well depends on who's driving too.

Sure, that was the USA spec car, but if we're only down '6 kW' due to our headers, then it shouldn't make that much difference.
Perhaps we're down more than 6 kW...
That was a stock US GT so same rear as us I believeUS PP has the 3.73 rear, we only get the 3.55 which makes a bit of difference (not massive but still counts)
5.6 0-100 does sound slow though, needs a driver swap methinks
