Sunshine Ford had a meetup this past Sunday for all their S550 Mustang owners, plus a couple of extras. We met up at the dealership, then drove along winding back roads for over an hour before ending up at the Currumbin Eagles J.R.L.F.C. car park. I'll post these in two posts as I have quite a...
The one and only time someone dinged the door of my previous car, a Ford Mondeo, it was on the horizontal crease an inch below the window cracking the paint ever so slightly. It didn't look like much but couldn't be repaired back to how it was, so cost me my excess of $600 as the whole door...
That might depend on which part of Brisbane you're referring to mate. I've been driving mine around the southside a fair bit since late May, but only one trip north of Brisbane so far. Mind you, I've only seen GTs about, so I have to agree on the general scarcity.
I just wanted to add a couple of things to the conversation regarding the auto transmission and different driving Modes that I haven't seen mentioned yet. Although these directly relate to the Ecoboost, I'm pretty sure they function the same way on the V8 Auto.
First thing is that in Sports+...
They've been talking about warranty backed performance tunes since the beginning of last year when they first mentioned one coming for the Ecoboost. However, since then not a single Ford Australia rep has managed to give me any answer on what's happening and I've already asked several...
Thanks for posting the pics mate and it was great to meet you both too. Thanks also to Brett for letting us gather at his workplace. Once a month sounds like a great idea and I'm sure more will attend once they have their cars as well.
I posted some of the pics I took in the "Australian spec...
We had a South East Queensland Mustang Meetup this morning on the Gold Coast with a few forum members in attendance; Resto, Brett, Kaps and myself.
Five Mustangs in total, four GTs & one Ecoboost, and all different colours too.
Magnetic GT Convertible spotted near Garden City at Mount Gravatt around 11:30am this morning. License plate read "Pony XP". They sat behind me for a couple of light changes heading west along Kessels Rd and we waved to each other when they passed near Mains Rd.
It's looks to be very similar to the locking system on my Mondeo in that only something the size of an unleaded pump nozzle or the funnel in the boot will unlock the gate. Unless this happens anything poured down there just drains out near the rear tyre.
Welcome back mate. Glad to hear it wasn't anything unpleasant that has kept you busy. I'm sitting at about 2,400klms right now, so you've just about caught up to me already. I've also spotted quite a few Stangs about, but no one from the forums yet; besides Kaps of course.
Had my 2nd close...
I agree Russ, it's a fantastic colour and one of the first things people comment on, even other Mustang owners. Only yesterday while I was driving home from work I noticed a yellow GT I hadn't seen before and when we stopped at the lights I thought I'd wind down my window and say hi. The 2nd...
Everything here has gone very quiet lately, which I hope is due to everyone being too busy enjoying their new cars. I'm still holding out hope we'll have at least one meetup though sometime in the near future.
Congratulations to everyone who just took ownership of their awesome new Pony. See, I was all gushy with good reason & most of you have the added bonus of a V8 soundtrack.
Oh, and anytime you want to organise a meetup Resto, I'll be there mate. Another excuse to drive after all. :D...
