I have 21 gt with the MBRP street catback and got to enjoy it before the snow came. working at a dealership helped me get headers as i took some stainless works catted headers off a gt350. they're a direct fit for the 5.0. im more curious if it would be worth installing the headers or if it would be too much with the MBRP street catback. all suggestions are appreciated and sadly wont go catless as New York emissions testing sucks enough. also if anyone else has the same system with headers if you have sound clips as its hard to find some especially inside the vehicle
did you ever find anything?

Can't help with sound clips as the car is in storage for another month but I can say a few things. Have the street cat back with ARH catted long tubes and cold starts are loud. After a short time it does ease up but your neighbours will definitely know when you fire up the car. Can tool along under light load and not make a lot of noise but once you put your foot down it wakes up as the revs climb. Tried to tone it down a notch by installing Vibrant resonators but no appreciable difference to my ear. As for drone I've never found anything to complain about. Overall I'd like to dial it back some. Maybe I'll have the car out before you do the install and if so I can definitely get a couple of sound bites.

We got lucky in Western New york with weather. got the car out this week and really happy to have it back. after being away from it for a while i really did forget how loud the exhaust was until driving through town at night. So i decided on not putting the headers on though i believe it would sound fantastic. id still love to hear some sounds bites of your car and maybe id consider doing headers in the future. for now im going to sell these ones and use the money for suspension upgrades. again i really appreciate everyones input on this

How do you know they were a direct for for the 5.0? I’ve tried looking it up and can’t find anything on it.

working at a ford dealer, i can look into the workshop manual. the section that bolts to the head of the 5.0 is the same as the stainless works headers for the gt350s. they use the same headers for both engines. first pic is the 5.0. second pic is the 5.2. instead they use the other holes in the middle on the 5.2.

Aren't the GT350 headers a different part number though? Like I'm not surprised they bolt up in the same location, but I could have sworn the design was substantially different. Maybe that doesn't apply to the long tubes though.

though id love to sell them on here. im only selling them locally as i dont want to have to ship them. just in person and cash. i do apologize as you would probably use them right away. im trying to sell them for $800 though with the cats, clamps and the headers themselves. no 02 sensor extensions, gaskets or bolts

Installed my headers on my street catback today. I love it. No drone at all. Quiet rolling down the street if you need it to be or loud when you want it.

I would go with some high flow catted headers to make them not so loud. If you decide to change it up we have these in stock and ready to ship here at www.lethalperformance.com! Stainless Power SM15HCAT 2015-2020 Mustang GT 1-7/8" Long Tube Headers with 3" Catted Lead Pipes (Factory Connect)

I was running the mbrp street with SW catted headers and two 3"x22" mbrp resonators, it sounded amazing but loud when you lay in to it, no drone at all either.
