I had the same setup and it was unbearable. I have stainless works cats and mbrp resonators added and it sounds amazing. I get so many compliments on the sound driving around. I'd get you a cold start video but its pouring outside.
Getting the air out of the system can be a pain. Pinch off pliers are needed to get it bled properly. Once it's done right you will know because iat's will stay around 7-10 degrees over ambient while cruising. When it was cooler out I have seen them get down to 5 degrees over.
E85 tune will most likely get a warranty claim denied. I had a 91 oct tune in mine, was very straightforward with the dealer and they warranted my engine for low oil pressure. I don't know if its common practice or not, maybe I just got lucky.
Stainless Power LTHs, high flow cats, h pipe, 2 big a$$ MBRP resonators and the MBRP street mufflers. It's the deepest sounding setup I've heard. Surprisingly, there is no drone when cruising either.
Actually, not once did you say "why do you need a 170 deg thermostat". In your first post you just started crying about needing a tune for one. Bla bla bla back in my day, our clutch driven fans didn't need a tune...
What are you arguing for? Bored? Sir, if you don't want to run one don't.
My cht rarely goes over 195 even in 105+ ambient temps but my fans are adjusted.
You don't have to get a tune. Do you ever drive around with the A/C on? if so, the condenser fan runs and will help cool at low speed. If its not hot where you live you don't need a 170, if your car isn't supercharged you don't need one either.
I run a 14 gph nozzle 4-5 inches before the throttle blade on my Edelbrock 2650. I've found that 60%meth by weight gives me the best results. I would not run 100% meth, it's too volatile to keep in a street car.
