EB owners have to be rare around here these days.

This is a heavy car for the 4 cylinder when you think about it. I'm not surprised there are issues with the EB engine.

Almost 7k miles and not a single problem that anyone has described. Seats cool very nicely too!!!

Edit: also I don't think it's superior than any other mustang. I'm in my early 40's, 6 kids 2 of them in college($$$) $30k for an ecoboost premium fits just fine for me. The options I want in a vehicle, good horsepower and it looks great. I will admit if I would've broken off more of a down payment and got the same comfort features in a GT but I didn't see it as I "needed" a GT.

200lbs lighter with close to a 50/50 weight ratio. Never hear people brag about that or the fact you can average close to 30mpg if you baby the ecoboost. Also being dead quiet bone stock is a bonus to me.
All anybody wants to talk about is how it doesn't sound as good as a gt or doesn't have the horsepower etc. If performance was a big selling point to someone why in the world would you buy a 4 cylinder? This isn't an ecoboost issue. It's a stout little motor that is fun to drive and can get great mpg while doing so. The problem is people having unrealistic expectations as far as performance. The ecoboost is a great motor that is perfect for someone like me. I'm past the racing stage of my life but still wanted something quick that can double as an economical daily driver with superb mpg.

I care about infotainment
Coyote's a proven engine. From what everyone says it can withstand pretty much anything you throw at it. With you wanting to mod, that alone is reason to get the Coyote.

Remember once you go V8 you'll never go back. If I had a choice get a new eco boost for 10K off the lot or pay 32K for a new GT, I would buy the eco boost sell it then use the money to get a new GT lol. Bet you didn't see that coming.

It's partially this. People put a lot of hard thought and research into it based on their financial situation, preferences and goals before they even buy/order the car and they end up making the smart decision. Then after a few months of being sucked into the modding world and reading the forum they start wanting more and more power and feeling like they should have gotten the GT. Then they make stupid decisions where they lose like $6K after posting a predictable thread like this one so ppl can tell them to do it. My favorite ones are the ones who were bullied into it.

Respect your own decision making and accept the consequences good or bad. If you have money to blow anyway then no reason not to but for most you would be much better off sticking it out instead of reasoning that you can just finance the car for 5 more years.

Edit: the issues listed in the op would get on my nerves though. I haven't had any of them

No, it isn't. If an engine can pull the weight, it does not matter how many 'cylinders' it has. Last time I checked (or just drove mine), that inline 4 *gasp* more than pulls the weight of the car and feels great doing so.

Advancements in technology are awesome; it wasn't that long ago when a heavy ass GT with a V8 was making just above 300 hp and torque...

That's a good point! I'm hoping this works out for me because I truly want to stick with a car for a while, I have a tendency to move through cars pretty quick and it's getting to a point where I need to stick with one, the GT I think will be that one

I'd be more upset about giving my car to a dealership multiple times and not having them actually fix anything. Wasn't there a flash to fix the misfire and overboost issues some cars were having?

Not Necessarily...

Oh yea, sometimes people leave the wonders of the V-8 for other Mustangs. You claim no one ever goes back...I've had 9 Mustangs all with V-8s. But I gave up a 2013 beautiful Race Red GT vert with Red Line Leather to get the 6G body and IRS. Chose the Cyclone V-6 because it was a great buy and damned-near bulletproof. Buy what you need...all of these engine choices have their pluses.:clap2:
