Some good suggestions, definitely looking at stiffening up the chassis all round really. I am going for a fast road but still livable set up. I am also looking for more of an aggressive stance too.

I am currently looking into some potential gearbox improvements, as we all know the MT82 isn't the best box in the world. 3rd gear can be a bit of a pain and it is a bit noisier than the other gears. I am not pasted opening the box up for some internal improvements, if anyone has any suggestions?

The shifting precision will be better if you separate the shift linkage from the transmission tunnel.
Alternatively, install a completely different shifter.

That is some going on that box. Absolute credit to you @NGOT8R. Due to the amount of work you put in, if you could rewind time would you have just gone sequential?

Cheers
Thank you!

I’ve watched a video of a sequential transmission and I definitely think it would be a better choice for straight line work because they allow for super quick shifting. I don’t know if one is available for the S550 Mustang though.

I am going to go with Steeda's dual rate comp springs for magride.

But I am open to trying different springs if people have any suggestions.

Cheers

I’m torn between these and the Ford Performance M-5300-W.

As a direct comparison from a similar angle (I zoomed in a bit to cut the background) on a euro car but with a Steeda H Pipe :

8 seconds in on your video v 2 seconds in on mine.

I will delete this post if you don't want it cluttering your thread :like:

I am happy to leave it on as it is a good comparison.

They are Very similar on cold start and idle. I think the biggest differences will be at higher RPM. I think the X-Pipe give a slightly more aggressive sound over the H-Pipe, which reminds me move of an old school muscle car.

The tune of the Bullitts is different, so sound is not compareable.

Agreed but the tune will have a negligible sound impact on cold start / idle.

Furthermore a direct comparison of a stock fuel and timing maps would be interesting.
